Damon
“What happened to Alysia in the Blood moon pack? Tell me what you know.” I mindlinked to Charles.
“I’ll try to investigate things but from the look of everything, it seems she might have been abused there, after all she’s an omega and they don’t treat omegas well.” He hinted and I felt anger sizzling down my body.
“Really! How come you never said this since?” I growled.
“I’m not very sure of this. I’ll find out more and get back to you.” He promised and I frowned heavily.
“We should’ve ripped their necks out! We should’ve let them leave without limbs! They don’t deserve to live for touching her! For coming here and making demands like she was some commodity.” He rumbled, fury visible as my eyes began flickering, turning from blue to dark yellow.
“You owe her an apology!” He growled, wishing there was a way he could hi
The world spun around Damon. Dark circles tinted the corner of his eyes, and for a moment, he felt like his knees were about to give way underneath him.“Alpha.” Damon's name echoed in the distance, but for the life of him, he couldn't bring himself to focus on the direction where his name was coming from. His vision blurred slightly, and no matter how hard he blinked, he still couldn't make out anything. “Alpha?”Damon didn't respond. He couldn't. Not when he'd just heard one of the worst news of his life.Alysia didn't make it? What the hell did the doctor even mean by that?“Alpha Damon?” The doctor called out again, and this time, Damon heard him very clearly. “Are you okay?”“No.” Damon huffed. “You can't be serious. What do you mean Alysia didn't make it? You're joking, right?”“I'm sorry.” The doctors voice dropped to a low whisper. “We really did try our best to save her, but due to the severity of her condition…”“What condition?” Damon roared in his face. He didn't want to b
The world came to a standstill as Alysia tried to make sense of what was happening. She couldn't believe it, she didn't want to. That the one person who had risked it all to help her, and the last moment too, was suddenly dead.No. No. There was no way that could be possible. It just couldn't be“Serena.” Alysia called out. Her voice shook, and thanks to the emotions lodged in her throat, it felt almost impossible to speak out, but she did it anyway. “Serena! Serena you have to wake up!”Serena didn't move. Her body stilled, and believe it or not, Alysia couldn't help but feel like she could feel every bit of life slipping out of her.“Wake up, Serena!” Alysia shook her harder than the last time. “Wake up. Open your eyes. Please.”Somehow, Serena must have heard Alysia's pleas, because in nothing less than some seconds, Serena's eyes opened, but just slightly.“Aly.. Alysia?” Serena was weak. She looked pale, like she was surviving on the little grace the moon goddess had given her. “
The battle raged on and even though Alysia was doing her best to push the rogues back, all they did was match her energy. Alysia didn't see the war breaking out like this, but now that it had started, she didn't exactly have a choice anymore. A small part of Alysia had hoped that somehow, Alice would surrender or perhaps even try to teach some sort of compromise between them. But even if that happened, Alysia wasn't sure she was going to take it. Alice had taken so many innocent lives, too many to count. She'd spilled so much blood it would be almost impossible to let it go.“Alysia, look out.” Damon yelled beside her, and she turned, just in time to see a rogue rushing at her. His claws were bared, and with the fury blazing in his eyes, it was clear that he was out for blood. Her blood. “He's coming for you.”Damon's warning came just at the right time. Had he been a second later, then the rogue would have been able to secure a blow against Aly
Everything finally made so much sense after Alysia had explained her suspicions to Damon. He didn't want to believe it, but there was no way he couldn't, not with the evidence stacked up against Serena and just in front of him.“Think about it.” Alysia spoke further. “None of what she told us made any sense. Serena is supposed to be on our side. But what did she do? Half of the things she told us, would only support the rogues and the opposition if we listen to her.”“You're right.” Damon was slowly coming around, and Alysia couldn't be more glad. “I didn't think about it that way, but now that you've brought it up, i actually see your point.”“Of course.” Alysia nodded. “She'd told us to take away all the soldiers at the borders. If we did that, we would only be giving the rogues and invotatik to attack us unawares.”“I can't believe she almost fooled us.” Damon shook his
Alysia's POVI should have known peace was simply a mirage, or something that wouldn't last pretty long, especially after the last attack that almost killed Damon. I was this close to thinking I'd lost him that day. In fact, a small part of me couldn't help but think that if I hadn't arrived the moment I did, then he probably would have died. I was so scared seeing him on the battleground wounded. I wasn't sure I'd seen so just blood come from him all at once. Sometimes I saw my excessive training as useless and probably not necessary, but not anymore. Since it was what had saved Damon, then I was eternally grateful to the moon goddess for that gift.I had prayed that the pack would at least experience some peace. Even if it didn't last too long, but long enough for him to fully recover. A couple of days had passed, and when nothing suspicious or serious had happened, I found myself relaxing a bit. But apparently, that had to be the worst decision I'd made.Damon, me and literally eve
One would think that after the intimate moment the couple had shared, that it would finally make things easier for them. To Damon's greatest surprise, Alysia had used her Powers to heal him, and he'd noticed that she had grown more powerful as well. Thanks to the fact that they hadn't been on speaking terms in a long time now, Damon wasn't expecting Alysia to come to him when he called out to her while he was resting in their room. He didn't see it coming either when she sat in his arms, while he adjusted so he could accommodate her weight.Damon had simply tried his luck when he'd asked her what was wrong, and surprisingly, she'd spilled the beans. She'd admitted that despite the fact that they hadn't spoken like they used to, she was still scared of losing him. All that was all the proof he needed to know that maybe, just maybe and probably underneath all the facade she was putting up, the Alysia he knew and loved was still buried somewhere deep inside. All he had to do was reach an
