"I didn't expect to be the one reaching out for the feedback on the whereabouts of our missing friend. Are you tired of being the Beta?" Jeremy asked, his gaze dropping as I sat across from him.

"I didn't find anything valuable in the books you gave to me. I was going to send a troop to check the woods if they'll find him, but I need your permission to take that action. What do you think?" I responded, my eyes fixed on his face.

"You were once the Luna of the pack, you can actually get that done without informing me. Don't be a dumbass, Violet. You're becoming too slow." Jeremy qualified me and I replied with a gentle scoff.

"I understand your orders totally now. Give me some hours to figure this out." I said, and walked out of his office despite being called back to continue the conversation.
