Violet's POV

"Is there anyone in this meeting hall who has an issue with any clause in the contract we have signed? Speak now or forever hold your peace," Jeremy spoke with authority in his voice. This was actually the first time I had heard him address wolves.

Everyone looked at one another until Simon finally decided to speak up. Jeremy didn’t want to give him a chance at first, but he eventually did.

"Which clause states that the host Alpha can seize the best official of a pack at any time he wishes to?" Simon asked, and everyone paid more attention to his concern.

Jeremy replied instantly. "You’re the one signing the contract, and you should read the clauses. The host Alpha won’t add cruel clauses to the contract, and it’s not possible to seize a pack’s best warrior unless there are serious reasons behind it."
