Adopted
What happened and what I expected from my father are completely different. Max is my brother, my brother. He is not my stepbrother.
Now thinking about it all makes perfect sense. The way he used to care for me from the very beginning. The way he came and announced himself my best friend. The way he became aggressive and protective when Melanie and Catherine were humiliating me.
He instantly changed to his big brother mode. He was always supportive, he never questioned why I don't want to be Darius. He supported my decision to take my time with my decision and clear my head.
Few hours earlier :
"I made a mistake Thea. Will you forgive your father" my father requests with a shame-filled voice.
"Please don't talk like that father" I try to get up from Darius's lap, but he simply pulls me back firmly against him.
I guess I have to talk from here itself. I am feeling embarrassed and Darius seems to be comfortable or he simply doesn't care.
