Chapter 5. Acceptance

Today, Aluna woke up earlier because she had to prepare all the things that she need. Not much, it’s just a suitcase, and a box of books.

Aluna was looking at her room, “I won’t leave this room, there are so many memories I spent with mom in this room. I won’t bring all my staff.”

Yesterday, when Aluna got the message from Mr Marfel, she tried to wake up and convince herself that everything was going to be fine. She realized maybe it was the best for her. Maybe after the marriage she will love him.

Aluna also had told Fatma that today the cake shop was close. She couldn’t work in this situation.

Aluna didn’t forget to bring her special gift from her Mother, “I will always bring this necklace with me because this is the only thing I have.” Aluna says while looking at her necklace. It was a gift from her father before he died.

In a different place, Zolan was holding his Father’s hand in the Hospital. He’s consoling his father by telling some funny stories. Zolan kept telling the stories although his father just smiling.

“Dad, I was planning to build a Hotel in Bali. Fahmi will help me, so you don’t need to worry.” Zolan says.  “After getting married, my wife will stay with us, so she will help me taking care of you, Dad.” Zolan continues, and Mr Marfel just smile.

“If I go, you will be the heir. I hope the company can be developed in your hand”. Mr Marfel says in his bed.

Mr Marfel was really sure that Zolan would make him proud. Zolan took his major in architect and management. He thought of taking only one major, because of his dad wanted him to study about architect, but he wanted to study about management, so he took two majors. Taking two majors was not a big problem for him.

The time had shown at 9.30 already, and it’s time for Zolan to get married. Aluna was on her way to the Hospital. Both of them were going to get married soon.

Knock knock! The door was knocked

The door opened and two men came inside the room with Aluna.

“Good morning Mr Marfel!” bowing in front of Mr Marfel, “Mr Zolan!” bowing in front of Zolan. “We are from religious affairs office, my name is Rozi and this is my partner Zomi”.

“Ohh, have a seat, please! The bride hasn’t come yet. Please wait for a moment.” Said zolan politely and told them to sit on the sofa.

Aluna had arrived at the Hospital. All her staff was put in the car because after she got married, she would stay in Mr. Marfel’s house with Zolan. Aluna come out of the car and walk into the Hospital. When she opened the door, there were two people who were unfamiliar for her. 

They looked at Aluna because of what she’s wearing. “Why are they looking at me like that?” Aluna was wearing black long pant and a shirt which was quite large for her and she didn’t put any make up on her face, a pony tail hair and her favorite glasses. Aluna was sure that they were looking at her because of her appearance just like her friends at campus.

“I think we can start now”. Said Zolan.
