Byron touched his face because of what happened. He didn't know who to follow. Is it for Lucille that he doesn't understand why Lucille did that or for Amanda that he doesn't understand even more because he doesn't want Amanda to see what happened in the office with Lucille.

He didn't admit it but he was confused by his own feelings. When he saw Lucille come back, he felt happy because he would finally be with and see the woman he first loved but this time, he wasn't sure if he still felt the same way about Lucille.

And on the other hand, he couldn't understand himself even more because of Amanda. Ever since Byron saw how difficult Amanda's life was he became more gentle with Amanda, add to that their kiss last night.
