Allister's words echoed through my mind, causing my hands to become slick with sweat. I couldn't comprehend how he had learned about my scent-controlling pills. Did he divulge my secret to Daruis? No, he didn't; otherwise, Daruis would have punished me already. Allister locked his gaze on me, waiting for my response. He asked if I had told Daruis, implying that he hadn't revealed my secret. I was on the brink of a panic attack. I wasn't mentally or physically prepared to end Allister's life or to silence him permanently. I froze, realizing that this could be the end for me.
