Todd Anderson stood holding his three months old daughter by the door, pacing up and down, expecting his wife to walk in the door at any moment, she had been gone for more than an hour and she was suppose to just walk four blocks to get to the grocery store which shouldn’t take more than thirty minutes, but its been over one hour, Todd was beginning to feel uneasy about everything, Carrie his little baby wasn’t helping matter at all as she keeps crying, when he finally heard the door bell, he started saying “Honey, why are you pressing the doorbell" as he opened the door, he saw an official and not his wife and the rest of his statement hung in his mouth , the official greeted him and asked if he was at the right address and if he was Sarah's husband, when he answered in the affirmative, the official then said in a firm yet sympathetic voice “sir, we will need you to come with us, is there anyone to look after your child" Todd looked confused, his grey eyes unable to focus on the official but he manage to respond and said “em, no am waiting for my wife, she should be back anytime soon" he said that with the hope that the gut feeling he had was wrong, he hoped that his wife was okay and this visit was for something else but the official shook his head sympathetically and said “am sorry sir, but your wife has been involved in an accident and we need you to come and identify her body" Todd stood there unmoved like he didn’t hear what the official just said, the official had to touch him lightly saying “sir, sir, are you listening” before Todd started shaking his head violently saying “no, no, no, this can’t be happening" the baby in his hands started wailing, she had just fallen asleep after hours of crying but the violent shaking of Todd’s head woke her up and she showed her protest by crying inconsolable.
