Aria’s POV

Two days later I landed in Texas.

“Home sweet home,” I muttered as I got out of the cab and approached Zach’s parents’ house. They were kind enough to let me stay here after the guys went missing up until I graduated high school and moved out on my own. This was more of a home to me than my caregiver’s house was.

I flipped my lavender hair over my shoulder and pulled my suitcase out from the trunk of the cab. As threatened, I was here alone this time. I gripped the spare key that was in my pocket and approached the house quietly. My mate’s parents’ car wasn’t in the driveway so for all I knew, they were either on a vacation, or they were at the grocery store.

My flip flops clop clopped as I padded up the steps and to the front door. It opened with a creak and the familiar scent of lemon cleaner permeated my senses.
