"Yes, mom, I have my plane ticket in hand and I am heading to the airport now.", I said to my mom over the phone. We are so excited to see each other this Christmas.
"Okay Winter. I just can't wait to see you! I will be there at the airport to pick you up when your plane lands." Donna, my mom said. It's been too long since I have seen her, but we talk all the time. My mom is getting married this Christmas and I am excited to meet her fiancé. She's been by herself since daddy died so I am very happy for her. Though I do feel the wedding is a little rushed since they started dating a couple months ago, but if she's happy, then I'm happy.
"Oh! And Winter, Mr. Conners is eager to meet you as is his lovely wife. I know it was weird to ask their permission for you to visit but this community is very...private and they don't like a bunch of outsiders." my mom warned. I mean that's strange that they have to give permission for someone to visit, but to each their own I guess.
"What? Is the community like a swingers club?" I laughed at my own joke, but I could hear my mom laughing as well.
"Winter Breeze! You're bad", mom said while still laughing. I love how my mom laughs at my cheesy jokes. Once I was off the phone with my mom, I was in the cab on my way to the airport. I couldn't wait to see my mom and meet Jared. My mother had told me he lost his wife to an unfortunate accident years ago and was too heartbroken to move on, until he met my mother.
As I made my way through security and the rest of the airport, I found the terminal where I will be boarding my plane. I still had about an hour until it was time to board the plane, so I just sat down and looked through photos on my phone of me and my best friend Maddie. Maddie will be coming home from Florida for the holidays. She's been my best friend since we were in diapers, and I missed her so much. We were inseparable growing up. We talk and text whenever we can because we are both so busy with our jobs.
As I was scrolling through the pictures of me and Maddie, the one person who I despise most in this world texts me. My ex-boyfriend Sean. I caught him cheating on me with some hussy he works with. Apparently they have been "seeing" each other for the past year. I can't believe I wasted the last two years of my life with that man.
Sean: Babe, please talk to me.
Seeing his text made me want to hurl. He has been texting me nonstop since I left him last month. I ended up deleting the text and blocking his number. Him and his tramp can have each other.
"Now boarding flight 628 to West Virginia." The attendant's announcement breaks me from my thoughts. I grab my luggage and head for the line to board the plane. I handed the attendant my ticket and she showed me to my seat. I was seated next to the window. I loved window seats while flying. I loved seeing the world from a birds point of view.
Shortly after everyone was boarded and sitting in their seats, the flight attendant made her safety announcement. I wasn't paying attention to the flight attendant as I started reading a novel about werewolves. I always loved reading about werewolves. I always wished I was one. To have a mate who will love me unconditionally and never cheat would be amazing. But alas, it's only fantasy. Werewolves don’t exist.
I was so engrossed in my book when I heard the pilot over the intercom announcing our descend. I closed my book and gathered my belongings as the plane came to a stop. One by one, everyone was exiting the plane. When I got off the plane, I walked to baggage claim to get my suitcase and noticed my mom jumping up and down waving at me. The biggest smile appeared on my face as I ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug.
My mom is such a beautiful woman. She has shoulder length blonde hair and hazel eyes. She's thin and fit. Though something looks different about her but I can't put my finger on it. "Winter! Oh, my beautiful girl," mom hugged me tight. Too tight.
"Mom, can't...breathe", I hugged her back trying to gasp for air.
"Oh sorry love. How was your flight?"
"It was good. I read the whole way so it actually went fast. Are you excited for your wedding?"
Her wedding was in a week's time and my mom was glowing. I am so happy for her. Mom was in a depression stage for a very long time after my dad passed away. I didn't think she would ever find happiness again.
"Yes I am but right now, I am more excited that my daughter is here," she said while giving me another hug. I smiled and started to tear up because I did miss my mom so much. I haven't told her about my recent breakup. My mom hated Sean and always told me something didn't seem right with him, well seems she was right. He's a cheating b*st*rd.
After we got the rest of my baggage from the baggage claim we made our way to my mom's car.
"How come Jared didn't come with you? I'm really looking forward to meeting him." I asked my mom, though I'm not too mad he didn't come because I just wanted to catch up with my mom.
"Oh, he had to work. But don't worry, you'll meet him tonight at the Christmas party. Mr. and Mrs. Conners are holding a Christmas party tonight and are excited to meet you. They also have a very handsome son, Blake. He's the same age as you and I think you two will hit it off," my mom said while wiggling her eyebrows. I couldn't help but laugh. "So, any particular reason why Sean didn't join you on your trip?" And there's the question I have been dreading to answer.
"Actually mom, we aren't together anymore. I broke up with him after I caught him cheating on me." I was irritated again after having to tell her what happened. Mom noticed my mood change and grabbed my hand.
"He was a jerk. He clearly didn't respect you or your relationship. I'm sorry that happened to you Winter. You deserve better." My mom shocked me with her response. I was expecting an "I told you so" or something.
"Thanks mom. I appreciate that. But, you should know, I do have something important I would like to talk with you later." I couldn't wait to tell her that I was moving back. Mom has been bugging me to move back for a few years now. And since I have nothing holding me back, I've decided to make the move.
Mom has been begging me to move back for the past year and a half. I was always adamant about moving home because even though I love my mom so much, I didn't want to leave Sean. I wish I would have known about his cheating beforehand. My belly started to flip flop around thinking about Sean's betrayal. The beginning of our relationship was good, but of course started to go downhill as time went on. How could I have not seen the signs? Always spoke in a whisper when he talked on the phone, always texting with someone whenever we went out claiming it was "work". I'm happy it finally ended though. One thing I'm extremely happy about is that I did not give him my virginity.
Even though I cared for him deeply, I couldn't bring myself to lose my virginity to him. Something kept telling me it wasn't right. Then I thought to myself: Did I ever actually love Sean?
Too easy. No, absolutely not.
I dozed off during the car ride back to my mom's house. When I opened my eyes, I noticed we were in the middle of the forest. The sight was beautiful. The trees were covered in snow and there were houses neatly placed along the road. The sun had started to go down and the streetlights came on as well as the Christmas lights on the houses. Everything looked like a winter wonderland. I was in awe, it was such a beautiful sight. Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. And it's places like this that decorate and go all out is one of the reasons why."Wow! Everything is so beautiful, no wonder you love it here so much." I told my mom bringing a smile to her face. I can't wait to tell her I'm moving back. This may be a different town from where I grew up, but my mom will always be my home."I'm glad you like," mom said, "we are almost home." I couldn't wait to see her house. We would always go all out with Christmas decorations, so I know my mom would not disappoint me.We p
After spending about thirty minutes in the tub, I decided to get out and get ready for the party. I went into the walk-in closet and sat down to start my make-up. I decided to go with light colors because I don't usually wear a lot a make-up. I used little eyeliner and mascara to make my emerald eyes pop and red matte lipstick. Once my make-up was finished, I started on my hair. I decided to just go with soft curls with one side pinned up.I put my dress on and I loved how it fit every curve of my body. My dress was maroon velvet with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. The gown was floor length and had a slit up the right thigh. I felt gorgeous. I finished the look with three inch black stilettos, silver snowflake earrings, and a small black clutch."Winter, are you ready?" I heard my mom yelling for me signaling it was time to go."Yes, I'm coming mom." I opened my bedroom door and walked out of my room. My mom was grabbing her purse when she turned around and saw me descend the
I was mingling with my parents, my dad's Beta, Jared, and his fiancée, Donna. Ms. Stevens was so overjoyed her daughter has come to visit. She knows that I have yet to find my mate and insists that I meet her daughter. I don't mind meeting her, but I hope Ms. Stevens won't think anything further than a possible friendship.I smelled the sweet scent of chocolate chip cookies, when I turned around to meet Winter, I couldn't believe my eyes. She is stunningly beautiful. Long auburn hair and the most electric green eyes. She looked familiar. When we shook hands, a static charge shot up my hand and arm. Whenever Donna would mention her daughter, I would always feel butterflies in my stomach. As an Alpha, I never get butterflies. I never knew what those butterflies meant. Until, MATE, my wolf, Shadow, yelled while jumping up and down in pure joy. Our mate is stunning, Shadow continued. I swear his eyes were heart-shaped and popping out of his head like a cartoon character.Yes, she is. Her
I wanted to wait until after my mother's wedding and Christmas to tell my mom about me moving home. But, I figured since I was asked about my education career, now is as good as time as any to tell my mom the good news. She was so thrilled. Even Mr. and Mrs. Conners seemed happy."Yes, I'd like to move back home. There's nothing holding me back in Georgia and I miss you mom. I've been thinking about it for a few months now." I turned my attention to Mr. Conners now to finish talking to him. "Mr. Conners," I started but he interrupted me."Please, call me Pierce," he stated."Pierce," I hesitated, "would it be okay if I joined your community to be with my mom? I'd be happy to fill out whatever paperwork necessary," I didn't get to finish before Pierce held his hand up to stop me from talking."That won't be necessary Winter. Of course, you are welcome in our community. Your mother was hoping that one day you'd consider moving here. When were you planning on making it official?" he inqu
********MATURE CONTENT********I could feel Shadow trying to push forward when Winter and her mom were leaving. He didn't want to Winter leave and neither did I.Calm down Shadow, we will see her tomorrow, I told him. Shadow just whined and retreated in the back of my mind. I planned to ask her if she would accompany me to the festival tomorrow evening.I watched as they drove away and when they were out of sight, I walked back up to the pack house. I spotted my parents standing in the foyer watching me with shit eating grins on their faces."Congratulations, dear. She's a beauty." my mother gushed. "Remember she doesn't know of our kind so please be careful.""I will mother. She's my mate and I don't plan on anything or anyone harming her. I will take my time." I promised as I could see the worry in her eyes. She just gently touched my cheek and nodded her head."She is a fine gift from the Moon Goddess son. Let's hope that she will accept you." Dad's stern voice tore my gaze from my
********MATURE CONTENT********I woke up to a howl outside my window. I was scared because it sounded as though the howl was a painful one. I jumped out of bed, grabbed and put on my robe, and ran out the French doors to see if I could spot anything. Unfortunately, it was so dark outside I couldn't see anything. A chilling breeze brushed past me so I turned around and went back inside.I crawled back into bed and tossed and turned trying to get comfortable again, but to no avail. I decided to turn the tv on and find something that I could fall asleep to. While clicking through Netflix I found something to turn on that I won't be paying attention to. Within a few minutes my eyes were heavy and sleep consumed me."Yes, baby like that. Harder! HARDER!" I screamed as Blake pounded into me with his dick. "God that feels so good baby, don't stop!" He had me bent over a desk, one leg up on the desk for better access, my hair in his hand with my head back and his other hand on my right breast
Blake, Shadow whispered, Blake, Wake up!"Huh?", I groaned not wanting to wake up. It's time to go see Winter! Shadow all but cheered in my head.My eye shot open as I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to freshen up. I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, and jogged to my closet to find some clothes. I decided on blue jeans, a white t-shirt, black leather jacket, and some Timberlands. When I was happy with my look, I ran downstairs to have a quick breakfast then head to Donna and Jared's."Good morning, Blake. Are you hungry?" mom asked while placing eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and hashbrowns on the table."Starving," I said with a smile. Last night worked up an appetite but my parents didn't need to know that. I grabbed a plate and put a little bit of everything on it. Wolves have a huge appetite and can eat three times more than the average human."I thought you said you were starving," mom questioned as she raised an eyebrow at me."I am, but I have somewhere to be th
By the time I got home mom had already left with Mrs. Conners. The snow had started to fall and so I started to make some hot chocolate and curl up on the couch and watch a Christmas movie. About halfway through the movie, my phone alerted me with a text message.Maddie: Hey girl! I just landed and I'm heading to my parent's house. I don't want to keep you from anything, but I just wanted to let you know I made it safely. I hope we can get together today! I can't wait to see you!Her text made me smile. It's been forever since I've seen Maddie. I decided to ask Mr. and Mrs. Conners if Maddie could visit and we could go to the festival together and catch up. I turned the tv off and put my hot chocolate mug in the sink before putting my coat and boots on.I decided to walk to the Conners house instead of driving so that I could admire the Christmas decorations better. I couldn't believe all the decorations; these people knew how to decorate. "Maybe I could ask for help next year when I
