Illusion

"I will make the decision. It's not safe to make her as a bait. We'll test you first in the battle fields. We need to know their reaction. But at the same time, we'll continue with the original plan. we evacuate all civilans."

I nodded slowly. I think arguing with him will only make things harder for me. After the meeting, we parted ways. Amara eventually took meand prepped me for tomorrow's mission. I looked at the gears in front of me while Amara kept on talking.

"Twenty civilans have been killed like their lives never mattered. We won't release you immediatley tomorrow. Lane has been thinking about making you the new Head Trainer."

My eyes gazed at the window in my room. There's no light outside. Only darkness enveloped the night. I could hear the faint sound of guns, bomb, and cries from different children. I wonder how close the battle field is.

"What was this place before?"

I heard Amara sighed heavily. I can see tall buildings from afar and a few establishments. i
