Chapter 19

The following morning Paris got up before anyone did and secretly went off to Malverth Street, where her arranged husband mansion was. The entire journey she was anxious to reach before anyone realized she wasn't in bed. The thought of her mom discovering she was not in her room had her biting at her nails. Finally, she had reached. She exited the carriage before the coachman could leave his seat to open her door and run to the gate.

"Good morning, I'm here to see Mr. Archer," she told the security guard quickly.

"Good morning, Miss," he greeted her back and walked her to the door.

He knocked on the door. The same maid opened the door.

"She's here to see Mr. Archer," the security guard told the maid.

The maid welcomed Paris inside the home. She informed Paris to stand in the hallway while she went to inform Mr. Archer in the living room that he had a visitor. Paris waited eagerly for him while she admired some beautiful paintings in the hallway. Everlee would have loved these pain
