Chapter 29: Mysterious Emerald Eyes
"You're lying." Even stated sternly.
Mayari stayed silent and continue to walk, ignoring him as she played deaf. Then she suddenly stopped when Evan tugged her wrist and faced her towards him.
"Tell me, Mayari, what did you saw?" Evan asked calmly.
"I saw nothing, your highness." Mayari replied.
She may look like she is telling the truth but Evan knew better. The way she looked at the river like she was looking for someone or something prove his point.
"I know you saw something."
"I don't know what you are talking about." Mayari coldly commented.
"Mayari... don't you trust me?" Evan's voice was laced with disappointment.
Mayari once again didn't reply and pulled her wrist away from Evan's grip, then she continued to walk away.
"I'll take that as a no." Evan mumbled but it was loud enough for Mayar
