Chapter Twenty Two

ELENA

I needed air.

It hadn’t been long since I arrived back in my cabin with Jason going straight to his. We may have had an undeniably nice time at the restaurant and after, but the agreement still stood. Iknfact, we had called a truce, which we had both accepted. But right now, it was left for my raging hormones to actually accept that fact. Which brought me to the reason why I was outside, so late in the night, wondering about. I looked behind me, in the direction of the cabin and bit my lips.

I was tempted to knock on his door. I really was.

That’s why I needed to be as far away from that cabin as possible.

“Hey!” a voice called from my right, atartling the living hell out of me. I jumped, swirling in the direction of the voice, with a hand to my chest.

I was alreasy ready to hightail it ou of there when I saw who it was. My mind immediately calmed down. “you!” I half yelled at colton, who was smiling sheepishly.
