“I don’t want to go today” she whined.

“Anna, you promised you were going to make it right. And you made me promise to come with you. You’re going Anna” I firmly told her.

“You are delaying it because you’re afraid and it is alright to be afraid, Anna. But you know the saying, the sooner the better. Lilly is right. You have to do it today” Beth nodded with me.

She was glowering at us, “What if she refuses hmm? What if she refuses to let me back in?”

“I think you know the answer to that Anna”

“She is your mother Anna, whatever differences you have had were in the past; she is still your mother,” Beth held her shoulder.

“I’ll drive” I offered.

In the next few minutes we were on the road, off to Mr. Andersons’ place. I prayed and hoped it would work out. They want her back. I could see it in their eyes at Christmas. How much longer do they have to be like this?

“Are you ready?” Beth asked.

“No,” Anna whispered, “I’m not ready.”

“That’s why we are here with you Anna. Come on”
