JEZEBEL’S POV

“Welcome back, ma’am.” My driver greeted me respectfully.

“Let’s go.” I said, leaning back into the car seat.

I gave a relieved smile, and found myself unable to stop thinking of Mrs. Brooke.

Honestly, I didn't think it would be that easy, but it had been.

“Stop, stop, stop.” I said, as I saw a wine shop. He parked the car, and I got down, brushing my wind-swept hair away from my face.

Max would undoubtedly enjoy wine from his beautiful wife. I hummed a catchy tune, as I walked into the wine shop.

“Welcome ma'am.” The lady at the cashier greeted me, and I walked past her to the wine shelves.

My fingers trailed on the bottles, as I checked their names.

“Old wine tastes sweetest.” I said to myself, as I considered the wine with dusty looks. I picked up a bottle, and went back to the woman, who cleaned the bottle with a napkin, before checking the price. I paid and drove home immediately.
