Point of no return

DAISY’S POV.

I held Aidan in my laps, cradling him to me, as John drove us to the nearest hospital. He wasn't waking, nor showing any signs of response to me. All I could lay my hopes on was the faint sound of his heart beating.

His hair was matted on his forehead in sweat, and it felt like my heart would burst out of my chest. With each thud, it felt louder, and more dangerous.

The tears rolled down my restless eyes carelessly, and ceaselessly. Every part of me seemed to be jangling with nerves. I couldn't even concentrate on any other thing else than keeping him warm, like keeping him warm would ensure that he lived.

“You need to calm down, Daisy.” John said, glancing at me through the rearview mirror.

“Drive faster, John. Aidan’s leaving me.” I cried.

“Nadia is right next to you. Would you have her crying too?” He asked, and I looked at Nadia, whose large eyes were spread wide in fear, and shock. I placed an arm around her shoulder, and cradled her warm body to me.
