Nightfall came, and it started to get cold in the dungeon. No one came down to get her that night, she curled up in a ball and fell asleep. The next day she was up before Carlos was, she didn’t talk to him. He felt bad she was still down there, but she survived the night and he hoped they would come and get her.

“I’m sorry.” Carlos said clearing his throat. “I thought he was going to come down and get you, I guess he really is being a dick.” He said shaking his head.

“I’m fine Carlos.” Anabel said without looking at him. “I know you want to be strong for both of us, but please just be quiet.” She said shaking her head. “I will make it through until God comes for me, until then just be quiet.”

“I still am sorry that I haven’t been able to help you.” He said walking over to the bars. “You can hate me for this if we make it through.”
