"Miss Anna, here's the things you asked me to bring"

Anna raised her head and stared at Janet, she was slightly sweating but she looked excited, it made Anna chuckle, the sound was uncomfortable to hear.

Anna collected the box from Janet’s hands and thanked her, she looked at the box for a moment

feeling too bored and lazy to open it she tosses it aside and grabs her phone

She stared at the last photo she took with her mom and a smile appeared on her face

"I am sure that  the madam is in a better place now" Janet said as she realized what Anna was looking at.

"Janet, what did Clara ask you when you were coming up?"

Anna knew the woman would be suspicious, she had never touched a dime of the money that her father gave her because Clara had always told her she didn’t deserve it. She knew Clara would noticed she ordered something, she would probably come up here to cause a ruckus later.

"Nothing, madam Clara didn't say a word although she did look at me in a strange way"

Anna nodded, she sighed lightly as she put her phone down

"Make hope for myself huh?" she mumbled softly

"Anna!" Clara walked in with a furious look on her face

“Speak of the devil” Anna whispers under her breath.

"Who do you think you are?"

Anna stared at the woman, she was right!, she would definitely make a fuss out of this. Clara’s face was red with anger, she pushed Anna to the side and walked towards the brown parcel that had been delivered.

"You really are starting to challenge me, what....what is it you bought?" Clara tore open the box, her actions slowed down when she saw its contents. A disdain filled smile appeared on her lips. She looked down on Anna like she was an insect beneath her.

"Oh?.....so this is what you bought with my husband's money?"

Clara said with disdain, she had the guts to buy stuff like these?

"Make up?, wow!. Now that you know the general's sons are here you can't wait to seduce them?, is that it?"

Anna shook her head, she had no intention to seduce anyone, she wouldn’t dare have thoughts like that.

"I....I didn't intend that I just....."

"You just what?!, look at these things" Clara emptied the box's contents to the floor and stared at Anna angrily

"Make up?, you really think you can put something like this on?

Even though you do, it went change that horrible looking face of yours.

You do not....do NOT!, get pretty in MY house!, you do not have that right, trying to steal my daughters' future husbands, you are not smart nor beautiful to do that!"

Clara grabbed Anna's hand and yanked it, Anna fell down with a thud hitting her back hard, Anna bit her lips, stopped herself from crying out in pain. She let out a shaky breath and tried to hold her body up with her elbows but the Clara yanked her wrist from beneath her and held it in a vice grip.

Clara held her chin tightly "Next time you try to pull a stunt as stupid as this again, you will get what's coming to you!" Clara tightened her grip on Anna's wrist.

“You don’t deserve to be happy after ruining my family!”

After finishing her words, she flung away Anna's wrist. Clara walked out of the room feeling much better.

"Miss Anna!" Janet helped Anna up with tears in her eyes, she couldn't do anything, she felt useless!

"Miss Anna I'm sorry....I'm really sorry..."

After sitting comfortably on her wheel chair, Anna held the crying girl's hand

"Its Okay, I'm used to it already and you know what?....she is right, why should I look pretty, I'm still stuck on this chair no matter what.

I have no family, no friends, not to even talk of having a boyfriend, why should I look pretty?, why should I.....why should I...." Anna's voice got lower, she had a slight smile on her face but one could see it was pain filled. She had tried so hard to be stronger but how is one supposed to be strong when she's constantly reminded of just how much she doesn’t deserve happiness.

Janet was at loss for words, she didn't expect that she would accept the situation that easily.

Her eyes looked so lifeless, she looked like someone with no purpose left in life.

Anna smiled bitterly as she remembered that man's words again, she mumbled to her self softly

 "Find hope for myself...ha!, easy for you to say, I'm sure you haven't gone through anything hard in life.....there's no hope....I should just die!, I have no reason to live anymore, mom is gone....father doesn't care....yes....just die.."

Anna took a deep breath to suppress her feelings

Janet looked at her silently, she didn't have words to say anymore.

“I will like to go sleep now, you can leave” Anna said as she wheeled herself to the bedside.

“But miss…”

“I’ll be fine Janet, goodnight…thanks for everything” Anna forced a smile and watched as the girl walked out the room with slowly hesitating steps.

“Goodbye…” she whispers.

They sat in the garden pretending to admire the view, the twins had sore expressions on their faces, clearly dissatisfied with the whole arrangement they had walked into.

"So...I don't like Rose…” Su Chen broke the silence “…I mean....she's pretty and all but....she kind of...is a sister lover, the only thing she ever talks about is Lily" Su Chen said to his brother and Dylan.

Dylan chuckles, he knew Su Chen's type and the Lu sisters were not wanting Su Chen wanted.

Li Chen rolled his eyes "We all know you don't want to get married, that is a very lame excuse" 

Dylan looked at both brothers and coughed lightly

"I'm going for a swim" With that said he got up and left. Both brothers stared at him, both surprised and used to his change of mood every now and then.

"Can you imagine that guy and his weird habits, this isn't the base that he can swim whenever he wants to clear his head, what if there’s fish in their lake?”

Su Chen pouted slightly staring at the retreating back of the man.

"He didn't even wait for me to finish my complaints"

"Listen Su Chen, if we weren't brothers, I would have walked away as well" Li Chen said patting his brother's shoulders

“You're both so cruel…” Su Chen laughs.

Lost deep in her thoughts, Anna wheeled herself to the lake behind the mansion, she sat by the dock staring at the water, the glittering reflection of the moon, she took a deep breath and when she let it out a tear slipped down her cheek.

She couldn't swim, so if she wheeled into the water now...

"Well, well, my dear little sister, are finally going to kill yourself?" Lily said from behind Anna, she was with Rose.

Both of them were smiling at her like they really meant good, they were both good at that. Showing people that they cared about her but deep down Anna knew they both hated her, the same way their mother did.

"It would be better if little sister killed herself, don't you think Lily?" Rose asked with a sinister smile on her face

"Yes of course, that way her miserable life will be over and there won't be any need for make up that won't fix anything"

Lily said, her words filled with hatred, they all wanted the girl to die. Right from the time their father brought her and her mother over, their father hardly paid any attention to them when he was around and Anna was the only child that he gave a personal bank account with such a huge sum of money in it. She came and destroyed their once happy family, even though they weren’t perfect, there was no to take all the attention from their father and even their mother.

They wanted it! they wanted it all.

"If little sister doesn't mind, let your darling big sis give you a little push"

Lily no longer had a smile on her face, it was replaced with a look of deep hatred. It made Anna wonder, what she had ever done to them to deserve such hatred from them.

Anna listened to their words silently, if they wanted to give her a push then so be it! This was it for her, she couldn’t do anything about it, she didn’t even want to. She wanted to be where her mother was, so she could ask her why…why she killed herself, why she left her alone in this mansion, in this world.

Anna closed her eyes as she felt the wheel chair moving, with a splash she fell into the water. As she felt the water overwhelm her senses and felt it invade her lungs, her eyes opened and she stared into the cold darkness, she smiled and for the first time in a long time, she meant it.

'Finally, I got what I wanted'.
