DEENA'S POV

The guests have left a long time ago and days passed, yet I couldn't get rid of Kendra's warning. I played games with her in my mind. I did my task with her words repeating in my mind and before I knew it, today's another elimination night.

Why did it take this long for me to recognize her? Maybe because she had so much done on her face that I failed to remember her. God, why did it have to be her? Why did she have to mess things up?

I remember how angry she was at me and she even attempted to frame me and ruin my reputation. Was it my fault that I was already Ethan's girlfriend at that time? Is it my fault that she wanted to seduce someone who's already committed?

Normally, I will just ignore something like this. But how can I ignore it this time when I cannot afford to lose?

I ended up having little to no sleep after she showed up and often woke up drowsy and anxious. As if he knows what I'm feeling, Ethan kept looking my way and giving me meaningful stares. I know he fe

  • Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!    XLVI: The Final Stage

DEENA'S POVI woke up with my head pounding. I groaned and quickly clutched it, wincing when the sunlight hit my eyes. I slowly sat up and that's when everything that happened last night came back to me.Sadly, I wasn't drunk enough to forget everything. The ache in my heart came back as well as the regret of giving in and losing myself. God, I can't believe how stupid I've been!"Good morning." I looked up to see Trenton and it looked like he had just finished showering. I am beating myself over what happened and his indifference annoys me. He must have noticed the look on my face and sighed."We can forget about what happened, Deena. We were both intoxicated." He said nonchalantly as if all we did was to play, and there isn't a risk of me getting pregnant.Pregnancy? I haven't really thought about it. Trenton and I agreed that we will focus on our own careers first. He was aiming for the number one spot and I wanted to be a great actress. We agreed that having a child while we were

  • Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!    XLV: A Night Filled with Regret

DEENA'S POV"I still want to play, Trent! Everyone's having fun. I am having fun! Bring me back there!" I demanded and flailed in his arms. "You're drunk, Deena. It's time to sleep." Trent calmly replied and although I was tipsy, I am still aware of my surroundings. "And who are you to tell me what to do? You know what? Just put me down!" He growled in frustration and brought my face closer to his when I smacked his chest. I stopped moving and my eyes widened a little. "Stop moving or I will kiss you where everyone can see it." He warned me with an evil smirk on his face and I glared at him, pursing my lips and stopped moving altogether. Trenton took me back to our room and he let me go once we were inside. I stubbornly walked away from him, but my vision suddenly blurred and I almost tripped on my own feet and kissed the ground, but he caught me and now we're on top of the bed with him on top of me.There was a moment of silence between us and only our eyes spoke to each other.

  • Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!    XLIV: The Final Week

DEENA'S POV Top three. We finally reached the final stage and Trenton and I successfully joined the top three with nothing but pretense and acting. The top three ex-couples are already winners when it comes to the cash prize. The third place will still receive thirty percent of the grand prize, the second will receive half, and the winner will receive the whole amount tax-free. Even if Trenton and I only take the third place, it's enough to cover some of my mother's treatment, and I could find a way to get the rest. I can always thrive to get the best role and everything else will follow. I will get more roles, endorsements and sponsors. I barely slept that night where ten women shared a room together and there are only three of us left now. I kind of missed Alice yapping all the time, Vicky telling us to exercise, and Patty's random opera singing. With Allyson, Leticia and I, there's not much noise around. First of all, Leticia and I are not really close with Allyson, and she ra

  • Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!    XLIII: Eliminated

DEENA'S POV After the nomination, everyone was just quiet and minded our business. I am honestly not mad at any of them. Maybe a little upset but not mad because at the end of the day, this is still a game. "A dinner is prepared for everyone later, but before the elimination tonight, Deena, Trenton, Alice and Paul, let's do some activity that will help the audience choose who they will vote for."The other couples left the living room and the four of us remained. "Let's start with you, Alice and Paul. Please sit in front of each other and hold each other's hands." The Game Master instructed them and they did. "This game is called '60-Second Truth'. I will ask you a question and you will answer it with nothing but sincere and honest words." "Yes, Master." A sixty second timer appeared on the screen. I could tell that they are both anxious, and I would, too. This is our last chance to prove ourselves."What made you fall in love with the one holding your hand? You can answer first,

  • Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!    XLII: Nominated

DEENA'S POVThis is it. After three weeks, we finally reached the moment before the last stage and we're thankfully still part of it. A week left and we'll find out who the winner is. We just have to survive this nomination."We will change the nomination for tonight, ex-couples. As you can see, there is a white board in front of you with your pictures."There is indeed a whiteboard in front of us with our pictures paired together. There is also a fish bowl on top of the center table with what I assumed to be magnets with different colors."For this nomination, the house guests are allowed to vote based on their observation before they leave my house.""Yes, Master." Joy, Marco and Jin answered in sync. In just a week, we formed a small bond with them. We played, won and shared some stories with them. I realized that Joy wasn't a seductress that she made herself to be, but a joyful woman. Marco isn't just a man with good looks, but a gentleman who's always ready to help us. And Jin

  • Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!    XLI: You Do Not Deserve Another Chance

DEENA'S POVThe day started rather intensely and emotionally for some ex-couples. Patty and Alice exited the confession room with swollen eyes, while their partners were silent the whole time. Sam and Leticia came out with calm and relaxed expressions on their faces much like Trenton and I, and I figured they made up. Ethan and Allyson refuse to look at each other, but they don't look as tense as last night."I talked to you all so we can be absolutely certain if you want to continue with the game or leave. We are roughly a couple of weeks away from the final week and you will be nominating the next ex-couple to leave the show in a few days. Games and activities will be more intense. Ex-couples, you joined the show to see if you can give your ex another chance. The decision is solely on you and not on any of us." "But unfortunately, one of you decided that giving your ex another chance is no longer possible."A collective gasp was heard. I looked around to see who made such a choice
