I had just laid my kids on their beds to rest when we heard a knock on the door. We were not expecting someone that night. I went straight to open it. I was shocked to see Whitney standing by the door with her suitcases.

" Whitney, what's wrong ? What are you doing here by this time of the hour?" I surprisingly asked.

My wife who was still on the couch came towards me asking who the person was.

"Whitney, why did you travel this late? Why couldn't you wait until tomorrow? Who brought you?" She asked but Whitney did not answer any of the questions.

Amanda felt pity for her step sister. She knew something could have happened back home that led her to come this late. She helped her with her bags in the house. Whitney was freezing outside and she couldn't let her freez anymore. She decided to let her rest in the visitors room where she always stayed ,until the next day ,since we were also tired so we went to bed.
