SOPHIE'S POV

I was seated with Elliot in the sectioned corner of our sitting room, where the dining room was located.

Breakfast was set, and we were already digging into it in silence when Nathan, who was all suited up and sitting next to his father and ready to accompany him to his office, disrupted the quietness with his slightly hoarse, passionate voice.
