My lids flutter open, and I’m disoriented for a moment. Last, I remember, I was in Knox’s office, and now I’m in my bedroom. Leaning up on my elbows, I glance around the room. I’m alone, but I have the eerie feeling of being watched thanks to the camera in the corner. Noticing that it’s much later in the day, I frown as I climb out of bed and head to the bathroom. I’ve been struggling to keep my emotions in check all week. As much as I love having Aria under the same roof, I can’t stop feeling betrayed, even after having her for dessert.
