BIANCA’S POV

“Told ya he wasn’t bad,” Mum said as she wiped the dining table clean. She swayed her shoulders playfully, making funny faces that I found a bit awkward and embarrassing for someone called a mom. “If I were you right now, I’d be the happiest girl alive.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me, Mom?” I frowned, eyebrows slanting in disbelief.

Can they not like say something nice about him, even for a moment? Since he and his father left, I can’t be in the house for a minute without them mentioning his name. They made it seem like he was my only chance for a happy married life and that not agreeing to marry him was an offence. A punishable offence. Even Thea, to my surprise, joined them in praising him.
