Chapter 8

RICHARD’S POV

Just in time, I hurried to my dad and caught him to prevent him from falling and hitting the table.

“Dad… Dad, are you okay?” I kept calling him as I gently guided him to a seat. I touched the side of his neck to check for a pulse. Fortunately, he still had a pulse, but he was breathing heavily.

His eyes kept fluttering, struggling to stay open. Colour drained from his face, and his skin looked pale and a bit dehydrated. His lips parted as he tried to say something. They were dry as if he hadn’t taken liquid in a while.

“Katrina! Katrina!” I called out to his maid after removing my hand from the side of his neck.

“Son, instead of getting into fights in public places, try to spend quality time with your future wife, Bianca. Get to know each other well and start making the necessary preparations for your wedding…”

“I’ve heard, no need to overemphasize it. Please, stop talking,” I pleaded, noticing how difficult it was for him to speak.
