Chapter Three

***** Willows Mansion******

The next morning

Grrr Grrrrr the sound of the alarm woke Nelly Up. She checked the time and saw that it is 7 am. She decided to go to the company because she was tired of staying at home and sulking. She is a very efficient and hardworking lady so she decided not to allow her problems to affect the company.

She entered college at an early age and immediately after her graduation, she took over as the CEO of the Willows Enterprise.

She entered her large bathroom and had a long and refreshing shower, she then came out of the bathroom, applied her cream wore a beautiful knee-length red gown and red heels to match. She did not feel like applying makeup on her face, she just took her handbag and walked out of her room. She climbed down the staircase which led her to the sitting room and met her parents sitting there. She greeted them casually and made to walk past them when her father's voice stopped her on her track.

“Don't forget about our dinner with the Kents, make sure you come back early today so that you can prepare for the dinner" her father ordered her.

“My dear I have ordered a beautiful gown for the occasion, I am sure you will love it," Elena said trying to cheer her up but she just ignored her and walked out of the house. She went to the garage where her black Lamborghini is packed, entered inside and the driver drove off.

After Nelly left, Elena kept on staring at the entrance deep in thought.

“Honey, are you sure we are making the right decision by allowing Nelly to get married to Bill?

Elena asked Roddy.

“Trust me we are doing the right thing, Bill is a good man he won't hurt our daughter. Roddy replied assuredly.

“But our daughter is not happy, I don't want her to live all her life in a loveless marriage" Elena complained.

“You see Elena there is nothing I can do about it, the deal has already been made, you and I know how Michael can be if he is angry, I wouldn't want to get on his bad side by backing out of the deal"

“Let us look at it on the brighter side, if these two get married then our two companies will merge, do you know what that means? he asked her smiling like a child who was given candy.

Nelly's car got to the company but she was so deep in thought to notice that she has reached her destination.

“Ma'am!! Daniel her driver called out to her which brought her back to reality.

“Yes Daniel, what is the matter," she asked him.

“We have reached the company," he said to her.

“Oh okay," she replied to him.

She stepped out of the car and entered the company.

“Good morning ma'am her workers greeted her, but she did not reply to their greeting, she was too

occupied with her problems to even reply to them.

=>Look at her, so arrogant she can't even reply to our greetings.

=>She is very proud because her father is rich.

=> She is not even beautiful, I am prettier than her.

These were the comments coming from the workers in the company after she was out of earshot.

Nelly entered the elevator which took her to her office on the last floor. She entered the massive office and slumped on her swivel chair. Her secretary entered her office and she looked up because her head was down.

“Good morning ma'am" Sandy greeted and she nodded.

“Ma'am you have an appointment with.........

“Cancel all my schedules for today" she cut her off.

“Yes, ma'am she said and left the office.

“Gosh why is my life like this? she asked herself with a sigh.

“This still looks like a nightmare to me, I need to wake up aaaaahhh” she screamed and sandy rushed into her office.

“Is everything alright ma'am? She asked her.

“I am fine" she replied but Sandy kept standing there looking at her weirdly.

“I said am fine, you may leave!!! she yelled and sandy scurried out of the office.

“Gosh so rude," Sandy said as she got outside.

“I need a coffee," Nelly said to herself and stood up. A new Cafe opened opposite her company so she decided to try it out.

She went out of her company and crossed over to the cafe. She bought Americano her favorite coffee and was about to leave the cafe when somebody bumped into her and the whole coffee poured on the floor.

“Are you blind? the person asked her angrily.

“I am supposed to be asking you that question because you bumped into me" she replied him looking at him angrily.

“How dare you talk to me like that, do you know who I am? he asked glaring at her.

“I don't know who you are and I don't care either, you can just go to hell and burn to ashes for all I care," she said to him harshly and walked out of the Cafe.

*******Evening************

Willows Mansion.

Nelly is sitting in front of the Mirror as the makeup artist performs her magic on her face, she is already dressed in the beautiful dinner gown her mother ordered for her.

After what seemed like an eternity to her the makeup artist finished applying the makeup on her face. She looked so beautiful that you will even mistake her for a goddess.

“You are so pretty ma'am" the makeup artist complimented her.

“Thank you" she replied and faked a smile.

The makeup artist left and after some seconds her mother entered the room.

“Aww, my baby is looking so gorgeous" She gushed.

“Mom I don't see any need for all these" Nelly said to her mother who was busy admiring her.

After her encounter with the rude stranger, she did not go back to the company rather she went to the only place where she can find solace, the beach. After spending a long time there, she came back to the mansion and saw a make-up artist already waiting for her.

“My daughter there is a need for these, you have to look beautiful so that Bill won't be able to take his eyes off you," Elena said to her but she just hissed.

Nelly and her parents were on their way to Kent's mansion, after forty minutes, they reached the mansion and were ushered inside by the maids.

Michael and Roddy greeted themselves warmly likewise Elena and Debbie Bill's mom who just got back from her vacation in Dubai.

They all headed to the massive dining hall and sat down then the maids began to dish their food.

“Where is Bill? Michael asked noticing his absence.

“He is in his room" Debbie responded and sent one of the maids to call him.

A cold sweat broke out on Nelly's face as the maid went to call Bill, this is the first time she will be meeting her husband to be so she couldn't help but feel anxious.

After some seconds Bill came downstairs and joined them at the table. She looked up and their eyes met.
