Chapter Two

“What!!! Bill exclaimed loudly.

“You can't do this to me, you know how hard I've worked to grow the company to the level it is now, how can you tell me to step down? Bill asked his father with a raised voice.

“The choice is yours to make, you either marry Nelly and keep your inheritance or follow that whore and lose everything you've walked hard for, you better choose wisely," Michael said to his son as he made his way to his room upstairs.

Bill stood rooted to the spot, he was too shocked to even move an inch.

The next morning

Nelly woke up with puffy eyes and a banging headache because she cried herself to sleep the previous night. She sat up on the bed staring into space when her bedroom door opened and her mother walked inside the room and sat beside her on the bed.

“How are you, my dear? her mother asked her with concern written all over her face.

"How can I be fine when you and dad want to marry me off to a stranger? she asked her mom tearing up.

“I am sorry my daughter, I wish there is something I can do for you but my hands are tied, trust me I tried talking to your father to see if he can cancel the marriage but he refused"

“Mom please I want to be left alone," Nelly said to Elena.

“Nelly...... her mother called her tenderly.

“Mom I said I want to be alone!!! she yelled and her mom walked out of the room quietly, she knew that Nelly is going through a lot and needed her space.

After her mother left, she burst into a fresh round of tears. She was so confused, she did not know what to do about the issue. She just wished she would wake up and discover that all this marriage stuff is a dream.

She cried again until she slept off, she did not even have the strength to go to the company. She knew that if she should go to the company in her current state of mind, she is bound to make mistakes.

Bill was in his penthouse a glass of wine in his hand and his mind far away. He could not still believe that he will be forced into marriage against his will.

He sat on his king-size bed, in his massive bedroom thinking about what his father said. There is no way he will sit and watch his inheritance and all he worked for over the years be taken away from him so he decided to marry the lady his father wants for him but he vowed within himself to make her regret marrying him.

“I will make sure your life is miserable, I will make you see hell in this marriage, just wait and see," he said to himself with a smile which has a lot of meanings plastered on his face.

He thought about Diana and did not know how he would inform her about the news of his marriage, he knows that she will be very angry but he just had to tell her. He picked up his car keys from the side stool and went out, he entered into his Porsche and drove off heading for Diana's house.

He arrived at her house and rang the bell, she opened the door and he came inside. He made to kiss her but she shifted.

“Babe what is the matter? he asked her with concern.

“You have not given me the $700 000 dollars I asked you for the latest designer's handbag," she said to him frowning.

“Oh I am so sorry, I forgot let me do the transfer for you now," Bill said to her and immediately transferred the money into her account. After some seconds the alert came into her phone and she smiled.

“Thanks, babe," she said to him smiling wildly.

“So can I get my kiss now? he asked her.

“Yes my love, you can get your kiss and even more, you know what I mean," she said to him winking seductively.

“I love the sound of that," he said to her and smiled. He captured her lips in a passionate kiss as they made their way to the bedroom. In a split second their clothes were flying in every corner of the room as their moans and groans filled the whole place.

After their hot make-out session, they both lay on the bed naked with her head on his chest, the duvet covering their lower bodies.

“I love you? Bill said to Diana.

“And I love you too" she replied to him and pecked him on the cheeks.

“Diana I have something to tell you, promise me you won't get angry," he said to her.

She removed her head from his chest and turned to look at him.

“What do you want to tell me, don't tell me you are cheating on me? she asked him staring intently at him.

“No I am not cheating on you, the thing is, my father wants me to get married," he said to her.

“Then how is that a problem? she asked him.

“Let us get married, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you," she said to him smiling.

“That is the problem, my father wants me to marry the lady he chose for me," Bill said to Diana.

“What!!!!! she screamed.

“That can't be possible, did you accept? she asked him staring keenly at him.

“Yes," he replied to her slowly. He has not yet told his father of his acceptance of the marriage but he said yes to Diana because he has already decided to go ahead with the marriage.

“How could you accept to marry another woman, can't you stand up for yourself? she asked him angrily.

“This is the Twenty-first century for Pete's sake, it is not the eighteens when parents dictate for their children what to do," she said to him breathing heavily due to annoyance

"I wish I had an option, my father threatened to take my inheritance away from me if I don't marry the lady he wants for me and I know my father doesn't make empty threats, I am very sorry Diana," he said to her guiltily.

“Then what becomes of me, will you just break up with me and throw away our two years relationship because of an unknown lady? She asked him.

“Never!!!

“I will never break up with you, I will marry the bitch my father wants me to marry, then after a year I will divorce her and marry you," Bill said to her.

“Are you sure of what you are telling me? she asked him staring at him.

“What if you fall in love with her? she asked him looking directly into his eyes.

“I will never fall in love with her, you are the only woman I love and will continue to love, nothing can stop that," he said to her assuredly.

Evening

Nelly came out of her room looking haggard and tattered. She decided to come out for dinner because she has locked herself inside her room since morning without eating anything thinking that it will make her father change his mind but it only hardened his heart the more.

She came to the dining hall and sat down on the chair next to her mom without saying anything to her parents. The maids dished their food and they started eating but Nelly did not feel like eating, she was just picking at her food.

“My dear why are you not eating? "This is your favorite food, pasta, and chicken sauce"

“Please eat your food, you have lost a lot of weight," her mother said to her worriedly but she just ignored her mother.

“Why are you asking her that question? Roddy asked Elena.

“ Please leave her alone, if she doesn't want to eat let her be," he said to his wife.

“If you think that all this drama you are acting will move me or make me change my mind then you must be a big joker, get ready because tomorrow we are going to Bill's house for dinner," her father said to her authoritatively and left the dining room.
