Chapter one Hundred And Seventy

Irina’s point of view:

“I am sorry we lost her.” The doctor informed us after coming out from the emergency room.

Roman fell on the ground and as he sat up and held his head so tight to his chest.

He kept gasping.

He opened his mouth to talk but nothing came out.

I rushed to his side and hugged him.

His body started shaking.

He rested his head on my chest and he started crying.

He kept sobbing like a baby.

I just hugged him. I couldn’t do anything more than that.

I couldn’t console him, nor relieve his pain because I am also battling with my own sorrows.

He sobbed but not for a long period of time.

I let him go when I realized he wanted to stand up.

He stood up and sat on the chair.

I sat beside him.

He took his phone out as he picked up the call with shaky hands.

His eyes were already red.

He put the call on the loudspeaker.

“Roman, what’s wrong? Why did they all rush home?” That is Mario’s voice.

“We were attacked.” He sniffed, trying his hardest not to cry.
