I glance up from the dough I’m kneading, not surprised to find Alex watching me from the kitchen table. His sky-blue eyes are studying my every move with vivid interest, and I shiver.

I can’t believe I’m marrying this man. Alex is way too sexy for someone like me. He would be too pretty if not for cuts and bruises on his elegant face and the slightly bumped nose from his time on the battlefield. It might be weird to say that about a guy, especially one as big and strong as Alex, but somehow, the word “pretty” fits him. I get a strong case of butterflies whenever he smiles at me.

“Are the cookies ready yet? “he asks with such impatience it’s easy to forget the fearsome Alpha he is and only see the inner child that never grew up. Alex is adorable...until he rises from his seat, and I once again remember that my head doesn’t even make it past his broad chest.
