Alpha Josh POV Something was off about the phone call with Alpha Mitchell. He sounded angry that Arya was on Alpha Josh’s territory. At least he agreed to come. Though Josh was worried what would happen when the Alpha got there. How would Arya react to seeing him? He would be here in 30 minutes. He didn’t get the chance to tell her when he would be here. She had to go check on Olivia. As Josh walked to her room to tell her about Alpha Mitchell, all he thought was what if this plan goes terribly. He couldn’t think like that though. He knew that’s what she would be thinking, and he needed to show her she was safe there. If he showed his worry right now, how could she trust him to keep her and Olivia safe?As he stood in front of her door, he took a deep breath. He was about to knock when he heard her say “You can come in, Alpha Josh.” He had a slight smirk impressed with her boldness today.Opening the door to the room he only thought of how he never wanted to leave again. Her intoxi
Arya POV She stood there and watched their wolf’s fight. No one did anything. No one moved. “Do something. Stop them!” She wasn’t screaming at anyone. She just needed someone to stop them. She looked to the King and pleaded. “Father. Please. Stop them. They will kill each other.” The king looked at her sadly. “I’m sorry. I can’t. This is Alpha Josh’s territory. It goes against our alliance. I have no power here. The Alphas must handle this one.” She let out a sob and turned back to look at the two Alpha’s. She wasn’t sure what she was feeling in that moment. Fear? Anger? Sadness? Maybe a combination of all three. Everything bubbling to the surface ready to explode. She tried to calm herself down before it could, but it was too late. “STOP!” Her aura exploding out of her with enough force it brought everyone, except her father, to their knees. She watched as Alpha Josh and Alpha Mitchell shifted back into their human forms. She glanced around at everyone before her eyes fell on Alp
Arya POV “Have you heard anything about the rogues?” Josh asked Mitchell eyeing his every move. Arya watched Mitchell closely to see if he was lying. She had been married to him for 3 years. He may have been a shit husband, but she still knew him better than anyone else in the room. “Which ones? The ones causing havoc around my borders, stealing and causing issues with my pack members? Or the ones I have heard are breaking into the houses of witches?” Mitchel said casually. “There are rogues at your borders? Why haven’t we heard about this?” Her father asked. “Because its my pack and I am handling it. why would I involve other packs or the king for a measly band of rogues?” Mitchell replied. “Fair point. As long as you have it handled.” Her father nodded. “I was meaning the ones robbing the witches. Have you heard anything more about what is going on with that?” Josh asked. “Nope. Just they are breaking in when no one is home, apparently. Not sure what they are looking for.” M
Arya POV Arya had always heard people talking about the mate bond and its pull. How you wouldn’t be able to tolerate being away from your mate. How you would always want to be near them and touching them. And all she has wanted to do since she recognized him as her mate was to be by his side constantly. So, how could she not want to share a room with him? Sleeping next to him inhaling his intoxicating scent all night long. Just that thought was enough to believe she had died and gone to paradise. “Is that a good surprisingly? Or a bad one?” The Alpha laughed taking a step closer to her. “It all depends.” She smiled taking another step closer leaving about a foot of space between them. “What would it depend on?” His smile faded and his eyebrows scrunched together. “Is there a room with a nursery attached? Or at least a room that’s across the hall?” She stepped closer making their chests almost touch. His eyes glistened with excitement as he spoke. “I suppose if I say yes there are
Alpha Josh POV Before they entered the dining hall Josh saw the King hand Olivia to Arya and peek his head through the door moving his head side to side to look around. “Coast is clear.” He whispered waving them forward. “The big mighty King scared of a little omega she-wolf.” Josh chuckled. “Now I know who to send if you ever try to go to war against me.” “Pfft. I am not scared of her.” The King scoffed as he entered through the doors. As soon as the king was on the other side of the door he stopped in his tracks and stiffened. Cause Josh and Arya to almost run into him. Josh poked his heads around the King to see what made him stop when he heard Janes voice. “You three are 15 minutes late for dinner.” She scolded them while pointing her index finger in their direction. “Calm down, Jane. You’re scaring the King. We had to get Olivia” Josh laughed. The King squinted and stared at josh through the corners of his eyes. “Shh. I told you that in confidence.” Josh just shook his he
ARYA POVJust keep running. They just had to keep running. That's what Arya kept telling herself. The Alpha wouldn't stop until he found them. She had to get away. She had been planning for months. Saving up any money she could. Bidding her time for the perfect moment. She packed her and the baby's things while he was passed out drunk from the night before. She hated when he drank. He was a cruel man sober. Even more so when drunk. Why he wants her for a mate she had no clue. Good thing they never marked each other. Just married. Would have made this harder to leave. So, she had to leave. She took advantage of the fact that he drank and put a sedative in his alcohol. Then when she was sure he was asleep they left. Trying not to alert anyone they were leaving she snuck out the window. she threw their bags down on the ground and climbed out and made her way to the forest behind the pack house. She didn't stop running until she was to the border. As soon as she stepped over the borde
Alpha Josh POV He was in my office going over paperwork and plans for the Kings arrival the following evening. He heard a knock at the door then hushed talking. My Beta Al came to knock on my office and said there was a rogue girl with a baby seeking help. 'Great! Just what I need right now.' "She is asking to speak with you, Jay. Said if you only see her, you will know who she is and she's not really rogue." Al said Josh looked at his Beta and rolled his eyes. "I can smell she is a rogue from here. Why would me seeing her change that?" "What would you like me to do, sir?" "Send her on her way. I don't have time to deal with a rogue when the King will be here tomorrow." Josh says while pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. As his Beta walked out the room Josh sat back in his chair and let out a sigh. He sat there for a few minutes just pondering to himself. 'Ugh! What else could happen or go wrong before tomorrow?' He sat up with his elbows on his desk and took a
King Loklyn POV The drive time get to Alpha Joshua's pack took 2 days. The drive was long and boring. Not much excitement happened when you're in a car or in a hotel room. He was dreading this meeting. We needed to go over the recent attacks that have happened around a few packs’ boarders. He also dreaded the huge festivities Alpha Josh always had when he came. We could have just a normal dinner. Not an entire feast. We were 15 minutes from the pack house driving through Alpha Josh's pack town. There was some sort of commotion that made the cars slow down. When we got close enough, he could sort of tell what was happening. A shop owner was yelling at someone holding what looked like a baby. They appeared to be a female. She had her head covered in a light blue scarf that hid her hair. He couldn't tell what was being said though. As we drove past, they all looked at the cars. That's when he noticed her face. It was pale white with red splotches from crying. Her mountain hung open
