ログインAuthor's POV
Emerald watched Egon's face change expressions over the phone call.
She smirked, did Spider really think that he could mess with her and she would let him? Stupid man, approached his own death.
The biggest mistake was that he accepted that he had her secrets. That's where she planned his death.
The other day, when she was dancing with the man in the auction, he told her that American mafia families are feeling threatened by Egon's expansion and are planning to clip his wings.
She knew that if Spider went to America, then mafia families would get alerted, and there were only a few chances that he would come back alive.
Chances were low, but she tried it, and her dart hit the board. Spider is killed by the American mafia, but she doesn't know which family has killed him.
Her predictions and decisions hardly go wrong; people fear her because she is dangerous even when she doesn't have power, and she proved why they are right.
Why would anyone who is in their right mind mess with her? Spider was really blinded by lust.
"Why was Spider in America? Fool entered enemy territory without informing me?"
Egon was dangerously calm, and it happens when he is lethal.
"And how can anyone kill him, he wasn't an easy target... I want to see how it happened..."
He disconnected the call.
"It's either Romano Kings or Knight Brothers!"
Emerald shrugged, not accepting that she was the real mastermind.
Egon looked at her.
"Will know the answer soon."
He walked away and she released a dramatic breath. Now that Egon is distracted from her secrets, he will leave her alone.
"It's so easy to manipulate the situation even when you don't have the power... I am impressed by myself."
She flicked her hair and went back to her room.
Egon, on the other hand, saw CCTV footage and recognised Arabella, the same girl whom he rejected as his bodyguard because she was involved with his enemies.
Now she was actually working for the Knight brothers. He was furious; he was going slow on the American mafia, but they provoked him. Now it was time to give them a lesson.
But before that, he investigated why Spider went to America.
Spider never travels without informing him.
He checked his last activities, and interestingly, he found out that he had talked to Emerald last time.
He played the footage and closed his eyes, trying to control his anger.
"Fool!"
He gritted.
"I told him so often not to mess with the Queen!"
Egon knew that the moment Spider talked to Emerald, she would kill him. She knew that Spider was important to him.
But he also heard about the secrets Spider was hiding, he was more pissed for not knowing about it, but more than that, he was mad that he was eye fucking her and she didn't snap his neck right there.
He couldn't hear her giving her solutions, even though he knew that she was faking it; he just couldn't hear any other man saying that he wanted her.
He was boiling with the thought of her saying this to another man who isn't him, maybe in future she will really find someone else to say this.
She will take his help to get away from him.
He was burning from within.
He was going to teach her a good lesson for this evil stunt.
"Emerald!"
He growled. She got up from the couch as he entered the living room.
She gulped, watching him furiously. She hissed when he grabbed her arm and dragged her out.
"I was going too easy on you, wasn't I?"
She froze when he stopped in the basement, in front of her brother. She thought he would have killed him by now, but he was alive, or maybe just breathing.
He looked like a skeleton, injured in many places and moaning in pain.
Her eyes watered when she saw him.
"Why would you do this to him?"
He was probably the most tortured in her family.
Egon ignored her question and pushed her forward.
"Kill him!"
She didn't want to do that, but looking at his condition, it was better to kill him than leave him in this agony.
She couldn't stop her tears as she shot him dead. One more family member was gone.
She turned towards him and scowled.
"Happy? What's wrong with you? Why are you fucking with my mind?"
She growled while throwing the gun on the ground.
"If you want to punish me then do it, don't flip from caring to cruel side every now and then... If you want to destroy me then stick to it."
"Sure, I will and you will regret it..."
He threatened while taking a step closer to her.
"Why didn't you tell me about Spider's intentions?"
She was taken aback for a moment, she wasn't expecting him to find out so soon.
"Why do you care? He was your man, he was eye fucking me while working for you and you didn't know it... I know how to protect myself, I don't need you."
She spat back madly.
"And if this is the reason why you are punishing me, then go ahead..."
"You didn't tell me about the conversation you had with him. You didn't let me kill him."
He took a slow threatening step towards her.
"How did you forget that I don't like it when you talk to other men and the conversation you had with him is ringing in my ears, my love..."
She gulped.
"It was___"
"I don't care what it was..."
She flinched at his deep threatening voice.
"You fucking pissed me off... How about you get punishment for that first..."
"I don't belong to you to punish me for talking to other men... I told you, I'll talk to any man I want..."
She provoked him more.
"Any man or just with the man who knows your secrets?"
He questioned and she froze.
"You think I won't find out what Spider was hiding?"
His evil smirk made her stomach churn.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
She ran out of the basement.
She was almost out of it when Egon tossed her on his shoulder and she started thrashing.
"Leave me, Egon!"
She cried when his hold tightened on her.
She struggled even more when she noticed that he was taking her to his room.
Author’s POVYears had passed, yet time had failed to soften the legacy of Egon and Emerald. Their empire was stronger than ever, feared by the underworld, respected by allies, untouched by enemies. Author's POV No one in the criminal underworld, not a even single soul would have ever imagined this day would arrive. Not in this lifetime at least. If someone had dared to suggest that Egon Bismarck, the infamous Mafia King, the man whose silence was deadlier than gunfire would one day stand at an altar… waiting for his bride? They would’ve been mocked.Ridiculed.Shot for their stupidity. And if anyone had claimed that the Queen, the woman forged from violence, vengeance, and unbreakable will walk down an aisle in a breathtaking gown, ready to offer her heart to the man she once swore to ruin?People would’ve placed bets on her blood before her vows.Yet here they were! Author's POV Egon held her like a man who had been starving for years and finally had something warm in his arms again. His arms tightened around her lazy morning frame, almost too tightly, as if she might dissolve into thin air the second he loosened his grip.“To be honest,” his voice came out low, a confession dragged straight from the center of his chest, “I thought you would never accept me again.”His thumb brushed her waist in slow circles — a habit he developed long before, one that never truly died.“I still don’t feel deserving of you,” he admitted, the words cracking slightly, “even though I’m selfish enough to not let you go.”Emerald’s answer came not through words at first, but through the way she burrowed even closer, nuzzling into the warmth of him like she was trying to sink into his bones. There was no fear, no hesitation — just a quiet, hungry comfort she had missed far more than she had expected.“I was in the same dilemma,” she murmured. She tilted her head to me
Author's POV Rafael had been too calm-too smug-when he asked her, "Are you ready to meet the real you?"There was something hidden behind that tone... something sharp, something calculated. Emerald should have protested. She should have pushed back. But at that moment, she was willing to walk into fire if it meant finding out who she really was.Rafael placed a naked sword on the table.A heavy, gleaming blade with a history soaked into its metal."Seen one of these before?" he asked, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Wanna touch?"Emerald's brows pulled together. She knew that question wasn't innocent. Nothing Rafael did was ever innocent. But the curiosity inside her was louder than the warning bells. She stepped forward and traced a finger along the blade-slowly, thoughtfully. She couldn't imagine the things Rafael had used this sword for.She wasn't sure she wanted to imagine."Ohh... who do we have here?"The voice behind her made her turn sharply.Another man stood there. Strikingl
Author's POV The ocean was about to witness their reunion again.Egon’s lips crashed onto hers with a hunger that had been rotting in his chest for far too long. It wasn’t a kiss — it was a claim, a scream, a desperate pull of two halves that had been cut apart and finally slammed back together. Emerald clutched his shirt with trembling fingers, dragging him impossibly closer, like she wanted to pull him under her skin.He groaned into her mouth, a raw, broken sound that betrayed every night he spent missing her. His body pressed into hers as the waves curled around them, cool on their skin, nothing compared to the heat rising between them. Her hands cupped his jaw, fingers shaking as they memorised him again — the stubble, the sharp lines, the warmth that had once been her home.“Egon…” she whispered against his lips, breath trembling. He closed his eyes like her voice hurt him. “Say it again,” he murmured, forehead resting on hers. “I’ve forgotten how to breathe without it.”She di
Author's POV Egon had abandoned the island castle long ago. Every stone, every hallway, every echo of that place carried the weight of what had been done to them—every wound they endured, every injustice that had carved itself into their story. Without Emerald beside him, the castle had become a living ghost, suffocating him with memories he wasn’t strong enough to face.So he had walked away.Yet today, he stood in front of it again. The familiar walls stared back at him like they recognised him—like they remembered the man who once ruled them. And standing there now, the past scraped against his heart like broken glass, burning through the thin layer of hope he was clinging to.Emerald wanted to talk. But she wanted to talk here.In front of the castle that had shaped everything between them.He didn’t understand what she had in mind, and that uncertainty was eating him alive. His hope had been dying since last night.
