The cold bit through my cloak, but I kept my head high and my steps steady as I crossed into the heart of the Blackfang campsite.

Alpha Knight’s tent stood like a crown jewel at the center, with its dark and gigantic form ringed by elite guards. Their expressions were blank as a slate, but I didn’t flinch. I had no reason to, since I wasn’t here to beg.
