ASHINA’S POV

The sun had long dipped beneath the jagged ridges of the Western horizon, leaving behind a deep hush and the soft glow of starlight.

The night air was cool, crisp against the sweat still clinging to my skin after hours of gruelling training. My limbs screamed with fatigue. Every muscle was tight, aching from Alpha Boris’ sudden decision to intensify my regimen without a word of explanation.

I didn’t protest. Not openly. Not when he looked at me with that hard and expressionless stare of his. Yet inside, I boiled.
