ASHINA’S POV

I remained motionless, arms folded tightly across my chest, witnessing the heated exchange between Farkas and his mother with an impassive expression.

Their voices crashed against each other, rising and falling in sharp bursts, much like an approaching storm that threatened to be blown out of proportion.

Every word they hurled at each other was laced with frustration, their tempers fraying like disentangling knots from a fabric.

Farkas' mother, a woman who had never learned the art of restraint, was the most vocal, her fury spilling into the space between them like venom.
