Chapter 14: She Escaped

Miguel's POV

I clenched my jaw tightly as the news sunk in.

“You have got to be kidding me! How did that fucking happen?” I yelled, losing my temper and grabbing the wiry man before me by the collar.

I shoved him against the container behind him hard, and he yelped in pain.

“How did you let it happen?” I quizzed him.

He shook his head helplessly as his eyes danced in panic.

“I didn't. It happened so fast. I don't know how they knew—” Before he finished talking, I threw him a punch.

He fell sideways, and his lips burst, bleeding out. He touched his lips and saw the blood.

The tears in his eyes increased as he looked at me; “Don Miguel, it wasn't my fault.”

“Whose fault is it then?” I growled in irritation.

I grabbed him again, pinning him against the container, “Do you have any idea how much those goods cost that you allowed them to confiscate?” I questioned, flaring up as I dealt him another punch.

So if they are in Italy why would the CIA be involved. wouldn't it be Interpol?
