SELENA’s POV.

Aiden took a step back as the words reached him. He looked surprised just like how I was when I heard it for the first time too. I wasn’t sure why I could hear him. Maybe it was because I was close to him but the voice was too vivid for me not to realize something was happening in my subconscious.

“Do you hear mine to?” I went ahead to ask him.

He swallowed hard, raking his hands through his hair, “I don’t—I just..

“Maybe I’m broken then” i answered with a fake smile plastered across my face, “maybe I was only imagining it”

“Of course you are not” he answered as he draped his hand over my shoulder again, “it happens” he further added, “i have seen it a few times. I will find out why and let you know about it”

I stared deep into his eyes, something was there but I was too numb to actually understand what it was so I let it go. If he wanted to find out then i would let him.
