SELENA’S POV

The prison was cold, an unforgiving kind of cold that crawled under my skin and settled deep in my bones. It smelled of damp stone and blood, of fear and despair that had soaked into the walls over the years. The same dungeon Damian used for pack defaulters and traitors. I had walked past it so many times before, never once imagining that a day would come when I would be the one thrown into it.

The moment the heavy metal door clanged shut behind me, the sound echoed through my skull like a verdict. That was it. My life, the one I had fought for, the one I had built beside Damian had just shattered.

I lowered myself to the hard ground, hugging my knees to my chest. My hands trembled as I tried to make sense of it all. How did it come to this? How did the man who I once looked up to like he was my world now look at me like I was a monster?
