“There are boys out there Kaya.” He whispered lowly, “Ones that deserve you,” he added, fingers still brushing mine, “then they are beasts,” his jaw clenched when he said this moving closer so my breath hitched, “ones that can hurt you.”

The words echoed in my mind as I sat cross-legged on Ally's bed the book I had gotten from my confusing thief friend in my hands. I could feel Ally’s eyes on me, watching me closely. Kaya’s POV Peace. Calm. I had never felt this free before as I opened my eyes and soaked in the gentle rays of the sun peeking through the light curtains of my bedroom window. It was another day, which meant another chance to live. Cheesy I know, but so often we forget about the little pleasures of life, like breathing. KAYA'S POV The day flew by uneventfully. Same old. Apart from feeling Legion's annoying eyes on me during science and the usual cheerful laughter of Khloe at the Lunch high table, it was quite the same. By nightfall, I was fully exhausted.
