LOGINPAIGE’S POV
“I'm pregnant.”
Shock was written all over his face, and it scared me.

When I heard the knock on my door, I was confused because no one knew where I lived except Caleb. He must have told him.
Opening the door to see Azriel standing there made me realise one thing: he was my mate. My true mate. I had never thought I'd see my mate, or even have sex with him on our first day of meeting.
I decided to tell him my story, for him to decide if he would accept me or not.
“So, you mean you're pregnant for your ex?” His question brought me back from my thoughts.
“Yes.” I nodded, playing with my fingers as I waited for his rejection.
“Paige,” he called, but I didn't dare to look at his face. “Look at me, Paige,” he commanded, and I raised my head to look at him. “Just because you're pregnant with someone else's baby doesn't mean I'll reject you. I'm not happy about it, no doubt, but I won't reject you.” He said as he cupped my face with his hands.
I could feel the tears falling down my eyes. Nora, my wolf, was really happy that he didn't reject us.
“I, Azriel King, accept you, Paige Abbott, as my mate.” He declared, gripping my hands firmly.
I felt an instant warmth wash through my body. A bond between us began to form. Nora was happily howling in my head.
I quickly pulled him for a kiss, without taking a break for a bit. He pulled me into his lap and deepened the kiss. I needed to stop, but I couldn't; he was like my oxygen.
After a while of making out, we stopped to catch our breath. We sat there, staring at each other with love showing in his eyes. I couldn’t believe I was among those blessed with true mates.
“Come with me to my pack.” Azriel broke the silence. He wanted me to go to his pack. What if I got banished again?
“Nothing is going to happen to you there,” he said after seeing the fear written all over my face. “I promise to treat you like the queen you are.”
“Thank you, Azriel.” I hugged him, resting my head on his chest.
“When are we leaving?” I asked. I was enjoying the warmth I was getting from him. I didn't want to cut it just yet.
“How about tomorrow, since it's late already?” He said, and I agreed with him. I was sleepy just being close to him.
“Let's get you to bed, love.” He mumbled as he carried me to my room. He dropped me on my bed and was about to leave, but I stopped him.
“Don't go,” I pleaded. “Stay with me tonight.”
“Okay.” He said. He began to remove his clothes, and I shyly looked away, which made him chuckle.
“Is this you being shy, love? You’ve seen it all.” He said as he winked at him. He got on the bed with his briefs on, pulling me closer to him.
“Good night, Azriel,” I mumbled.
“Good night, my queen,” he said before I slept off.
*****************
The morning came quicker than I expected, and now we were arranging my clothes in my bag. Thank goddess I didn't have many clothes. I told my landlady about my leave; she was sad but also happy that I was going to a better place.
I had sent in my resignation letter to the bar earlier, and I also got a call from Caleb. He was pretty devastated when I told him and hung up without saying anything.
I took my final bag outside, but Azriel quickly took the bag from my hands.
“You shouldn't be carrying anything.” He said as we walked down the stairs. The elevator in the building was broken.
“The bag is not even heavy,” I said in frustration. He didn’t want me to do anything.
“You're pregnant, Paige. You shouldn't stress yourself.” He intertwined our hands as we walked to his car. He gave the bag to the driver to keep as he opened the door for me to enter.
“Azriel, I know I'm pregnant, but I'm also not far along,” I said to him, but there's no arguing with him.
“Just listen to me for once, huh?” He said, his eyes softening. “Pregnancy can be straining for a lot of women, and I don't want that for us.”
I couldn't help but smile at his overprotectiveness. He has accepted the baby as if it were his. I was grateful to the moon goddess for giving me such a wonderful mate.
The driver got into the car and drove to our new destination. A new chapter of my life was about to start.
“What position do you hold in your pack to have a driver?” I asked the question that I had been meaning to ask.
“You will find out soon, love. Don't worry your pretty head about it.” He smiled as he placed a kiss on my forehead.
“Okay.”
Hours later, we arrived at the pack, and I had to say, it was the most beautiful place I had ever visited. It was more like a castle than a pack house, and it was bigger than my father's pack. The pack looked intimidating, and I saw some warriors training on the field.
“Are you ready?” Azriel asked, giving me his hand.
“Yes, I'm ready,” I said, nervously smoothing my hands on my dress.
I took his hand and got out of the car. Everywhere looked so beautiful; everyone bowed their heads at Azriel while some curiously stared at me.
“Tell someone to bring the bags into the house.” He instructed the driver before turning to me.
I leaned closer.“Why are they bowing and looking at me like that?” I whispered to Azriel.
“Because you look like a goddess, Paige.” He said, smiling as he slipped his hand across my waist.
“You're so funny.” I chuckled as we walked to a beautiful house. It was a mini castle with woods surrounding it.
“Welcome to your new home, love,” Azriel whispered into my ear and placed a kiss on the crook of my neck. I shivered as his lips made contact with my skin.
“Your house is really beautiful, Azriel,” I said to him as I walked around the house.
“It's our home now, love.”
Suddenly, a young man came into the house, smiling at Azriel. I wasn’t sure he had seen me yet.
“You're back so early, My King.” The man said. Then, he stopped when he noticed me in the room.
“You're welcome, Milady.” He took a bow. “I'm Beta Trevor.”
“My King?” I gasped shockingly. Was Azriel a king?
“Who are you, Azriel?”
He sighed and turned to face me, his piercing gaze met mine, “I didn't mean to keep it from you, love. I'm Azriel King, the Alpha of the Black Crow Pack, the Alpha King.”
Shit!! I remained stunned in silence as I took in what he had just said to me.
I was mated to the Alpha King!

PAIGE’S POVThe rumour had spread wide in the pack like wildfire, and I’d grown really uncomfortable. We still hadn't found the culprit responsible for it. I had my suspicions, but I couldn’t say anything until I was sure of it.“Why are you curled up all alone by the window?” Azriel's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.I sighed as I looked up at him. “Things are not getting better, Azriel. The rumours are still circulating day by day. We need to put an end to this.” I complained.“I know, Paige. I'm working on it. You need to stop worrying.” Azriel said as he took my hands into his, but I pulled them away.“You can't tell me to stop worrying, Azriel! Someone is out there destroying my life, and I can't go out without being looked at like some criminal. It's frustrating!” I exclaimed angrily. I stood up to walk away from him, but he pulled me back, turning me to face him. And before I could protest, he moved closer to me, and my breath hitched as he pulled me flush against his chest
PAIGE’S POV I groaned as I sensed the bright light under my eyelids. I let out a frustrated yawn and stretched my limbs before opening my eyes to see a space beside me on the bed.Yesterday, after my conversation with Sophia, I felt so happy that I opened up to someone else about my problem. When Azriel returned home for the day, I took Sophia’s advice; I told him about my stepmother. He was pissed initially, but I was able to calm him down.I sat up and made my way to the bathroom to get ready for the day and after a few minutes, I was ready and made my way to have breakfast. The air suddenly felt so strange and tense, like something was wrong. When I got to the kitchen, I didn't catch sight of Stella, but I saw that my food was already served on the dining table. I decided to pack some food for Azriel since he rarely ate before he left for his office.Once I was done, I took his food basket and my apple juice which had become my favourite drink ever since I became pregnant, and lef
PAIGE’S POV “Are you okay?” Sophia turned to me after Helena left the house. My heart was beating wildly in my chest as she asked me that question. She just witnessed Helena insulting me, and I know she’s going to ask me some questions, which I wasn't ready to share with anyone other than Azriel.I didn't want to explain my past to her. I didn't know if she was trustworthy or not.I decided to look up, and when I did, I saw her eyes already staring at me in concern. I needed to reply to her question.“Yes, I'm fine.” My voice came out barely above a whisper, and embarrassment and anxiety washed through me.“Paige, why were you being treated like that?” She asked. Her eyes were soft and full of worry. What should I tell her? Should I tell her the truth about how my father banished me?“It's nothing, just don't worry about it,” I said.“This is not nothing. I'm sure this isn't the first time she's treated you like this.” Sophia angrily said. This talk was stressing me out.“As I said,
PAIGE’S POV I lay in bed, the sweet chirping sounds of birds outside and the gentle warmth of the sunlight peeking through the curtains in our room. I was grateful Azriel returned before I went to bed, just as he had promised.Seeing my father and stepmother brought different emotions within me.I rolled over to the other side of the bed, watching Azriel's peaceful sleeping form, bare-chested and muscles fully on display. His left arm draped over his eyes, which is where his forearm scar was, catching my attention. I took my time examining it closely, wondering what had caused it. From its appearance, it didn't look like it was from a knife, maybe a claw or some other weapon. Why haven't I noticed this scar on him before now?Immediately, I recognised the royal family crest on his right arm. There were a few other scars on his body, but none were as large as the one on his forearm.“Love.”His raspy and husky voice startled me, so I got up quickly and began smoothing out a non-existe
AZRIEL’S POV I watched as she angrily stormed out of the ballroom without saying a word to me. What just happened? I was left in a state of utter confusion. One minute we were dancing, and the next, she was angrily walking away. ‘Go after mate, ’ Jax growled in my head. “Is everything okay? I saw Paige hurriedly leaving.” Sophia said as she stood by my side. I let out a deep breath. “I don't know either. She just left angrily.” “Then you should go after her, brother. Something might be wrong.” Sophia urged me. I strolled out of the room in search of her. I scanned the area with my eyes, but I couldn't find her. I made an effort to search the rooms in the palace, but she wasn't there either. Where could she be? I was getting worried and a bit frustrated. I decided to mind-link Trevor, “Where are you, Trevor?” “I'm still at the ballroom, Your Majesty.” He responded swiftly. “Meet me outside, now!” I barked before blocking him off. I hope you're safe, my love? Because I woul
PAIGE’S POV The day of the Annual Mating Ball had finally arrived, and I was really anxious. I stood up, staring at myself in the mirror, thinking about how I was going to interact with the people. It was all new to me.Azriel was also to announce me as his mate, which was why I was this anxious. I glanced at the most gorgeous dress I had on, with the most expensive fabric, dripping from my body.It was obscenely lavish, and while I should be angry about wearing something that could literally feed a small country, for odd reasons, I was not. Everything on me screamed EXPENSIVE.I was not used to this type of lifestyle, and I doubt I’d ever get used to it. Azriel had been spoiling me silly with new and expensive things every day since I had arrived. He had recently changed my phone to an iPhone 16 Pro Max.Crazy right?Suddenly the door swung open, I took a glimpse at who it was through the mirror and saw Azriel standing there, looking like a Greek god.He looked so handsome in his bl
