PAIGE'S POV

My eyes widened in shock, “You’re the Alpha King?” I repeated. “And you didn’t see it important to tell me?”

“Paige, I wanted to tell you. I just haven't found the best way.” Azriel said, his eyes locked onto mine. When I looked into his eyes I saw a flicker of guilt in them.

“But you should have told me. Being a queen comes with a lot of responsibilities; one I'm not cut out for.” I said, pacing back and forth.

I was going to be the Luna Queen. Me.

I began breathing rapidly.

Moon goddess, why me?

“Nora? Are you there? I called out to my wolf.

“I’m here, Paige. I know you're scared, but we're destined to be the Luna Queen. The moon goddess knows what she's doing,” Nora said to me.

“It’s an important and heavy role. I don't know if I'm fit to be Luna. Heck! I don't think I deserve to have him as my mate”

“We do deserve him, Paige," she replied.

“I hope so.”

“Love, please calm down. I know everything is overwhelming to you, but I am here for you.” He pulled me into his arms and gave me a reassuring hug.

“What if they don't accept me, Az,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “I'm carrying another man’s baby.”

“Shush! They will love you,” He whispered, gently pulling away, his eyes never leaving me as he grazed his thumb on my cheeks. “As for the baby, we will tell them it's mine, okay?” He breathed out, and I nodded reluctantly.

“Come, let me show you to our room.” He said and we started walking upstairs. After passing a few doors, we finally halted in front of a black door.

“Welcome to our bedroom.” He said in a low and inviting tone as he opened the door, revealing a beautiful but dark room.

As I walked in, I saw the walls were deep, warm brown shades with one wall covered in floor-to-ceiling windows with a deep brown floor-length curtain. There were two large leather chairs in a cosy corner with an end table next to both.

A small couch was positioned at the end of the King-sized bed with a light mocha brown finish. A large brown and white patterned rug covered the floor, giving the room a special warmth. Across the room was a set of black dressers with a door setting perfectly in between them. No doubt leading to the closet.

My gaze fell on a door on the same wall, away from the dresser which was locked so I turned the door handle, revealing the bathroom. It was quite big and beautiful.

I turned to Azriel with a smile on my face, “Your room is very beautiful, but it needs a bit of colour.” I suggested and he chuckled.

“Our room, “ Azriel corrected me. “Since you're here now , you can design the room to your taste.” He added.

“You’re right.” I nodded. Suddenly, exhaustion from the journey kicked in so I walked towards the bed to lie down, but Azriel stopped me by holding my waist.

“You need to shower first, then have your dinner before thinking of sleeping.” He said in a calm voice as he carried me to the bathroom.

“But I'm tired,” I whined. My body screamed for rest.

“I know, love. Don't forget you're eating for two now.” He reminded me, and I kept shut because I knew he was right.

He placed me back on my feet and looked at me. “Do you need me to help you or do you want to do it on your own?” He asked.

I was just too lazy to do anything on my own at the moment, and I didn’t know why I felt that way.

“Can you assist me take a shower?” I asked, my voice laced with a hint of seduction and a sly smile was formed on Azriel’s face immediately, then he placed a kiss on my forehead.

“Anything for my queen.” He whispered into my ears which sent a cold shiver down my spine.

Azriel removed my shirt first, before moving his hands to the waistband of my trousers and dragging it down. I helped him to remove the rest of my clothes before hopping into the shower. He took a few seconds before he joined me and we both had an intimate shower together.

After the shower, he gave me some fresh clothes to put on, which was a T-shirt and shorts. I noticed our bags were already in the room.

I felt Azriel's seductive gaze on me as I dressed. “You look so sexy in my clothes.” He said, which caused me to blush hard.

Two minutes later, we heard a knock on the door.

“Come in,” Azriel said after putting on his clothes.

Two beautiful women walked in with a tray of food in their hands.

“Hi.” I smiled at them as they placed the tray on the table.

“Good day, Luna.” They both said simultaneously, bowing their heads in respect.

Soon, they excused themselves, leaving just Azriel and me in the room. I sat on the bed her l brought the food closer which contained a delicious-looking chicken stew, creamy mashed potatoes and some fresh orange juice.

After we were done with our food, the same girls came in and took the tray.

I got into the duvet and laid down with Azriel beside me. “How are you feeling, love?” He asked after a minute of silence with us just staring at each other.

“Exhausted,” I sighed.” The food was really delicious by the way,” I said, smiling softly.

“I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal,” He smiled. “Let’s get some rest. I can see your eyes slowly closing on their own.”

I chuckled and turned my back to him so we could cuddle. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer to me, and I shut my eyes, letting sleep consume me.
