CHAPTER TEN

Monday morning, as George prepared for work, he thought about letting Irene to resume working, maybe it would help to keep her busy. She doesn't have any friends and neither had she opted to call her mother to visit them. As he pondered over it, he decided to have a talk with her when he gets back from work.

He was about leaving the room when the door opened and a smiling and beautiful Irene came in, carrying a cup of tea. She raised it up to him and smiled, “I made it specially for you this morning,” she chuckled.

George smiled, he would be a liar if he said he doesn’t notice the difference in her, she smiles more and cry less. Most of times, he used to wonder what could have happened, ever since their first miscarriage, things had changed in her, she cries a lot, lies in the bed all day and hardly eats anything. He has to be the one to drag her out of the bed on most cases for her to shop and make herself happy.
