The truth was my only way out. I badly wanted to laugh with her and then pretend to be upset with her over her words, but that would be unfair to her. She was the woman I loved and respected, keeping her in the dark wasn't an option anymore.

Just as Ose said, dragging this and pretending not to be the demon king was a bad thing to do, It would only end up hurting her badly. I was scared of her hating me, but at the same time, I wanted her to accept me fully.
