Chapter 1

The smell of strong liquor was everywhere around the room. Blaring sounds of music echoed everywhere with ladies dancing happily but drunkenly to the music that was being played.

A young woman with honey blonde wavy hair sat quietly in a corner, with a skimpy dress on, and was drunk.

She shook her head vigorously, minute after minute, while uttering gibberish. It was obvious that things weren't going well for her.

The Underworld club felt packed with different people of different genders. A strong smell of cigarettes enveloped the air, making Samantha want to puke.

The environment wasn't something that she was used to, besides, this was her first time coming to such a place to drink, and it was all because of him. She fell for him and now she regrets everything about that.

Her mouth reeked of liquor the moment she yawned, she was beginning to black out, but she didn't care.

"More," She forcefully took those words from her mouth, banging the glass on the table.

The server felt sorry for her, through her looks, he could guess that she was a newbie at that. She was a naive, nice young woman who happened to be in the cruel fate of love.

"Here you go," He pointed the glass towards her.

Samantha lifted her wobbly eyes up, glaring at the server, "You!! Why did you do this to me, Jake?"

She flung herself into his shirt, holding him tightly while sobbing silently. Her heart was aching. The man tried freeing himself from her but it was effortless. She grabbed his shirt tightly, not wanting to let go.

Soon enough, she released herself, still glaring at the man, "But you know what, I hate you now."

The server just stood there transfixed, daring not to utter a word and at the nearest minute, a slap landed on his face, gathering everyone's attention.

"This man is a cheater," she announced, with her thin voice resounding throughout the room. Disbelief filled the people's eyes, they looked at the server guiltily, then looked back at Samantha who was already crying.

"He cheated on me with my best friend, he never loved me," She spanked his chest hard, making him yelp in pain.

Disgust filled the people's eyes, everyone present already believed Samantha because she had a gentle look and aura so it was hard not to believe her.

The server raised his hands up in the air, alarmed, "Oh No, that's not true."

She belched loudly and the stench of strong liquor made its way away from her mouth. She pushed the server angrily and walked away clumsily.

Just then, a young man with long black hair and a well-figured body walked towards her with a smirk, a drink in hand.

He wore a baggy ocean-like shirt with baggy jeans and trousers, his aura was kind of dark.

"May I have this dance?" He asked her, stretching forth his hands to her.

She scoffed, drew him closer to her and kissed him hard on his lips. The man didn't want to let go. It was as though they were both drunk. He pressed her head towards him the more, making the kiss more intense.

Out of a sudden, she pushed him away, "Enough of this!" She glared, beating her chest hardly, "Who do you think you are? To cheat on me with Ashlyn. Am I not better than Ashlyn?"

The drunk man couldn't comprehend what she was saying, but he was too drunk to think further, "Oh no baby, I love you more than Ashlyn."

He fell back and forth trying to get a grip of her hands. Samantha walked closer to him, then out of a sudden, held his cheeks, making him yell angrily due to the pains.

She kissed him gently, "Now that was how I felt when I saw you kissing Ashlyn."

"I said I was sorry!" He repeated for the umpteenth time.

"Why don't we get a room? It's getting late, and I'm getting tired," Samantha mumbled under her breath like nothing just happened.

She flung herself at the drunk man, who in turn carried her in a bridal style towards one of the club's rooms upstairs.

The Tuesday morning sun shone brighter than before, showing its absolute beauty.

The sudden but loud buzz of a phone notification alarmed Samantha, who had been snoring soundly a while ago.

She lazily sat upright on the bed only for her leg to hit a still and hard figure. She was shocked.

Carefully, she turned her eyes towards the half-naked man who was still beside her sleeping.

"I'm done for!" She yelled, a tear falling down her chubby cheeks.

Yet again, the phone buzz jolted out of her thoughts. Frustrated enough, she picked up the phone only to see thirty new messages from Jake.

She was wondering what was going on while she read the messages.

"I'm sorry baby, it was a mistake."

"Ashlyn forced me into doing those things with her."

"I never meant for it to happen."

"Moreover, nothing happened between us."

"Please answer my messages or call me."

She was confused, until the horrible moment came pouring in.

Samantha pulled her Lexus car through the drive-through. A huge smile fixated on her lips as she held the box of chocolates with great care.

Jake was promoted at his job and she wanted to be the first to congratulate him.

She got out of the car, gently holding the box of red chocolates in her hands.

She found it odd to see the door ajar, but she didn't care much.

She walked in gently, not wanting to make a single noise. She entered the sitting room happily with her face full of smiles only to meet no one inside the room.

Samantha then walked to the kitchen and dining room to meet no one there. Then that was when her heart began to beat faster. She was getting confused for no reason.

Her hands wobbled gently, "Samantha, get a hold of yourself, nothing happened to Jake, he's probably in his bedroom." She mumbled under her breath, but her hands failed her.
