The voices of my mother, my sisters and everyone who had been mean to me joined that voice in my head.

Replacing their traumatizing words.

"Please, I beg you, stop tormenting me!!!"

I yelled to the empty room and stood again, restless, pacing the room with no direction like a crazy being.

"A knife...there's a knife. Do it ..I wish I did before now. When I gave birth to you".

My mother's voice whispered.

My red eyes searched for the knife , tears streaming down my neck ,but instead of the knife I found my phone lying on the table.

Maybe he left a text.

That instant hope made the voice in my head to vanish.

I rushed over and picked it up with trembling fingers.

No messages from Leo.

No missed calls.

The ache in my chest deepened.

I had no one to talk to.

Dying was the option I have.

Olive had disappeared the moment she found out Leo was Mystery and ghosted me completely.

She was the only friend I had, yet she ignored my calls every time I tried to reach out to he

We returned to another floor filled with working robots roaming around the space. My eyes almost popped out of their sockets. “Wow, are these real robots?” Leo nodded. “They’re so scary.” I replied. They act so human that it gave me chills. The only difference was their design wasn't human but robot but their movement and speech was very advanced. “So you prefer the automobile department?” Leo asked. “Well, the invisible car was amazing. I can't believe that it was real. I only see it in soy movies. Why did you reduce their points?” “Your reaction is all I wanted to see.” He replied. “But it’s unfair! I had a good reaction, and I was impressed.” I pouted. He chuckled his two hands tucked in his pocket. “Don't worry. Let’s see the rest so we can judge them all.” I stare at him. Leo acts so mature in the company. The next department stepped forward with a soft smile. “I am Jack, the director of Robotics. We’ve developed something a little differen

CHARLOTTE'S POV I was still trying to recover from the shock of everything when Leo gently placed a hand on my back and cleared his throat. “Alright,” he said calmly, in that boss-voice that still startled me every time, “let’s begin properly.” Properly? My heart thudded. He started with introductions. Six individuals lined up. “This is the CEO, Andrew.” “Welcome,” he said. “Thanks,” I replied. “The manager Zack.” Zack bowed slightly. “Good to have you here, ma'am.” “Just Charlotte is okay, and thank you,” I replied. “My personal assistant and secretary, Lois.” “Wel…welcome, ma'am,” Lois stuttered. I noticed she was anxious. “Thanks, Lois,” I said softly. My own hands were shaking nervously—I hoped they didn’t notice. “This is the head of Research and Robotics.” A man bowed slightly. “Welcome, ma’am.” “This is the head of Engineering.” Another bow. “And Production. Finance. Design. Security.” Each name blurred into the next, but every s

Then I shook my head, adjusting my posture, then followed her immediately.I found her standing at the parking lot. “Charlotte,” I called. She turned toward me with wide eyes, completely overwhelmed. “I embarrassed you, didn’t I?” I cupped her face. “No, you didn’t, but what’s going on? Are you alright?” She shook her head. “I… I’ve never seen so many people happy to see me before,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I had an anxiety attack and ran out. I am so sorry. I am an embarrassment.” I brushed a stray curl behind her ear. “You are not,” I said, pressing my forehead lightly against hers. “Take a deep breath. I’ve got you.” She nodded, closing her eyes, and inhaled slowly. When she opened them again, I took the opportunity and kissed her again—this time longer, deeper, more possessive. I wish I could kiss that damn fear off her. When we finally pulled back, she leaned into me slightly, resting her head against my shoulder. “I am sorry again… it was

  • BILLIONAIRE'S PLUS-SIZE OBSESSION    The most important

I walked back to the car and found Charlotte fidgeting in the passenger seat, her fingers twisting nervously in her lap, her eyes darting everywhere except at me. She looked so fragile, and I could feel the storm of emotions inside her. “You’re… fidgeting,” I said softly, my voice breaking through her anxious thoughts. She let out a breath I hadn’t heard her take before. “I… I’m scared, Leo,” she admitted, her words almost a whisper. “I don’t know what they’ll think of me… how they’ll judge me. I—” She paused, biting her lower lip, and I could see the conflict in her eyes. “I don’t want to embarrass you… or myself.” I reached over, gently cupping her hand in mine. “Charlotte,” I said firmly, looking her in the eyes, “none of that matters. You are the most important person in this company right now. The most important. Every other thing—they don’t count. Today, promise me you will carry yourself as someone worthy of admiration, because you are.” Her brows knitted toge

  • BILLIONAIRE'S PLUS-SIZE OBSESSION    STAFF MEETING

LEO’S POV The moment I stepped into the company, the staff at the first floor straightened immediately and halted mid-conversation. “Good morning, sir.” “Welcome back, sir.” I acknowledged them with a slight nod, my steps unhurried as I made my way toward the elevator that would take me to my office. As I walked toward the elevator, my sharp ears caught a whisper between two female staff members. “Is it just me, or does the boss smell like a woman’s perfume?” “I thought I was imagining it… I guess it must be his girlfriend’s. Didn’t you see the trending videos about him traveling himself as Mystery and dating a black-Chinese woman?” “That’s just a rumour. I don’t believe that.” Inside the elevator, I sighed. I hoped they must’ve forgotten about the face reveal. I guess the internet sucks anyway. The elevator stopped and the doors cracked open. The last floor. My manager was waiting already. “Call for an immediate meeting,” I told her calmly as I walked. “C

  • BILLIONAIRE'S PLUS-SIZE OBSESSION    AM I READY?

When we arrived at the company building, I thought I stepped into another planet. I can't believe how far the world had advanced and I was in my cave not seeing it all.The company was massive and the structure was nothing like I have seen before. At this point, KC was right. I am really a cave woman. Not until I came to America I hardly go out anywhere. Depressed in my room. Take care of my sisters. Have crush on male neighbors that are my age, get rejected indirectly by being used as a bait for my sisters. Then Jun came along. He only took me to a local restaurant for New Year’s Eve celebration. The company was… overwhelming. I could feel the size, the power, the quiet authority the place carried. From where I sat, I couldn’t see the inside of the building at all. But I could see the cars. Rows and rows of them, perfectly aligned, all the same make. Not identical but had the same manufacturer symbol. A scared lion. I have seen that symbol before.
