MOMMY IS ACTING WEIRD

ANGEL'S POV

When Mommy walked to the door, I was standing there with her, but I noticed something. She was muttering words to herself, hesitating to open it.

That made me impatient.

"Mommy?"

She gasped.

"Ye…Yes?"

"Mr. Uncle is at the door, waiting."

"Oh .. ofcourse".

She nodded and unlocked it.

He was standing there, smiling. He was holding two big bags that looked very heavy. One bag had carrots sticking out.

"Good morning, Charlotte," Mr. Uncle said to Mommy, but she didn't say good morning back.

Which was weird.

Mr. Uncle lifted the bags.

"I brought vegetables and groceries."

Mommy stared at the bags as if they were the ones talking to her.

"Oh," she said again. "Okay."

She moved out of the way very fast, almost bumping into the wall, and Mr. Uncle came inside. I waved.

"Mr. Uncle!"

He smiled at me. "Hey, troublemaker. Nice to see you again, Angel." He patted my hair.

I smiled back. "You brought vegetables?" I said, referring to the bags.
