Jake has a very demanding job and barely has time to spend with his wife and therefore he uses every opportunity he gets.  He loves Laila and their son very much and he treats me like a younger sister. I tell Laila I’m headed to pick Brad up. I gotta admit no matter how much work I have or how tired I am I always look forward to spending some time with my boy. I’m always looking forward to our next time together.

We get to the company building, I and Laila head to the private elevator. We wait for it to reach the top floor of the building. I head to my office and call Paul to release him to head home. He tries to argue that he must drive me back home but I convince him that I can drive myself back on my own. I take my handbag from the leather seat in my office and head towards the elevator.I head towards the lobby to wait for the Laila so that we can head to her house together. She shows up to the lobby after some time and we head to my white Chevrolet Corvette C8.

I enter on the driver’s side and Laila enters on the passenger side. I turn the radio on and Ava’s sweet but psycho fills the car and me and ly sing along.

Oh, she's sweet but a psycho

A little bit psycho

At night she screamin'

"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"

Oh, she's hot but a psycho

So left but she's right though

At night she screamin'

"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"

She'll make you curse, but she a blessing

She'll rip your shirt within a second

You'll be coming back, back for seconds

With your plate, you just can't help it

No, no you'll play along

Let her lead you on, on, on

You'll be saying, "No, no"

Then saying, "Yes, yes, yes"

'Cause she messin' with your head

Oh, she's sweet but a psycho

A little bit psycho

At night she screamin'

"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"

Oh, she's hot but a psycho

So left but she's right though

At night she screamin'

"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"

Grab a cop gun kinda crazy

She's poison but tasty

Yeah, people say, "Run, don't walk away"

'Cause she's sweet but a psycho

A little bit psycho

At night she screamin'

"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"

They had a fancy home with a very homey feeling and I loved it whenever I visited. I hear sounds of small feet running in our direction and prepare myself for the impact of the small boy of the two year old against my own.

“Auntie Kira..,” Brandon squeals.

“Little man,” I call out.

It doesn’t take long before Brad runs into my open arms and wraps his tiny hands around my waist. I pick him up and smother him with kisses all over his chubby face and he releases giggles. I smile widely upon seeing his big dimpled smile and I give him a big smooch on his nose and in return he gives me a sloppy kiss on my cheek.

“I missed you so much auntie Kira,” Brandon says still giggling.

“I missed you more little man, but I’m sad that you don’t visit me anymore,” I say faking sadness.

“Don’t be sad auntie, I’ll force mummy to allow me to visit you a lot. Can I come live with you?” he asks innocently.

“We’ll have to ask mummy and daddy about that Brad sweetie okay,” I tell him and he nods his head continuously.

“It’s good to know that I was not missed around hear” we hear Laila say behind me.

Brandon giggles and drops from my arms to go greet his mom.

“Baby, you’re going to spend the week at aunt Kira’s place since mommy and daddy won’t be around. Is that okay with you?” Laila asks.

“Yaay, I told you auntie Kira, I was going to visit soon,” Brandon says excitedly.

“Yes baby, I knew you would keep your promise. Now how about we go to your room to back some of the things you need, then we can head to my place,” I tell him.

“Okay auntie Kira,” Brandon says.

Brandon holds my hand in his little ones and drags me upstairs to his room. I can tell how excited he is to go to my place since we do a lot of fun activities. I make a mental note to notify the temporary PA that I will not be going to work tomorrow. I want to spend the day with my little man and on the next day, I’ll take him to work with me.

Many must think that I don’t have much work being a CEO since I can take a day off to have stayed home with Brandon. I made sure that there are no pending projects that require my attention urgently.

We pick up a few of Brandon’s belongings since he has his own bedroom and wardrobe at my place. We head downstairs and bid our goodbyes to Laila and head towards my car.

It takes much time getting back to my place than we spent coming here since there is a lot of traffic. We play our favorite song on the radio and sing along at the top of our voices. Brandon dances around in the back seat and swings his body and arms wildly in an attempt to dance.

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight

Not a footprint to be seen

A kingdom of isolation

And it looks like I'm the queen

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I've tried

Don't let them in, don't let them see

Be the good girl you always have to be

Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know

Well, now they know

Let it go, let it go

Can't hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door

I don't care what they're going to say

Let the storm rage on

The cold never bothered me anyway

It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small

And the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all

It's time to see what I can do

To test the limits and break through

No right, no wrong, no rules for me

I'm free

Let it go, let it go

We alternate in singing the verses of the song and in no time we get home.

I pack my car in my garage and open the backseat door for Brandon to get out.

The ride home was quiet and the only sound that could be heard was from the roaring of my car. I had been so distracted by memories from the past lately, that by the end of the day my mind and body was tired. It did not take long to get home since it was pretty late in the night and most people had already retired to the comfort of their homes. I tried convincing Sean to spend the night at my place but just like any other time I had asked, he declined my offer. He always said he had to get home to someone and only a few of us knew who that person was.Sean had been engaged to Clara back in our college days and when we got to our junior year, they got married. I had met Sean and a few of my friends and his in a class we had together. Our circle became so close that even after graduating we still kept in touch. Every one of our friends had told Sean that it was crazy for him to get married so young. Some of them even tried to convince him to at least wait until we graduated and

“Mr. Anderson…..Josh uhm hello? Dude what has got you in so much deep thoughts?” I heard my driver and personal bodyguard Sean ask. I looked down at my watch and realized just how late it was. I had been thinking about the past for more than an hour. I didn’t even remember when my personal assistant left. All I remember was her telling me that she was done for the day. I realized that since I had met Kira recently, all I could think about was her. I could not seem to get her out of my mind which was not a good thing. This was bad. This was really bad because I knew my feelings for her were growing stronger. This was not going to end well because I believed that from what had happened in the past, she would be a fool to fall in love with me. “Dude you’ve been spacing out a lot nowadays what is happening to you. What’s on your mind?” Sean asks with a worried expression on his face. I had known Sean for a while now and despite working, for me we were pretty clos

“Melisa….where are you? Come out from whatever place you are hiding at because I am gonna find you,” I called out angrily the following morning, knocking on her front door impatiently. I was not one to entertain drama in my life but I just could not let what Melisa had done get past me. I did not care if her parents were home I just had to confront her. What she had done could have ruined my life if I had not thought of doing the tests by myself. The front door was opened by her mom with a confused yet scowling expression. Even back when we were dating, her parents did not approve of my and Melisa’s relationship. I did not take it personally since I knew what my reputation was like around town. Not to that I was proud but people always judged and made opinions about everything. I admit to dating and sleeping around with some few girls from school but most of them made up stories just to get noticed around school. “Why are you looking for my daughter, what do you want

After playing some video games, Derek suggested that we should go out to a party before all hell broke loose. I agreed with him on that. I had to have fun before the results came out determining whether I was going to be a father or not. I lend him some of my clothes so that he would not waste time going back to his house to get changed. I told him to use one of the guest rooms to get ready. In no time we were headed to the party in my Overfinch truck. We partied and danced around with random girls until late in the night. I was wasted completely but Derek had control his drinking. I guess he knew that I needed that party since it could be my last one in a while. I gave him the keys to the truck and he drove us back to my house. He dragged me to my bedroom and laid me on the bed and I passed out in no time. I woke up the next day with a killer headache. The sun seemed brighter than usual and it made my headache even worse. I grabbed the remote on the night stand and shut the

We entered a room with a bed and some screens which I didn’t know what they were used for. The nurse who had led us to the room told Melisa to lay on the bed and wait for the doctor to come. After a few minutes a middle aged lady walked in and introduced herself as Doctor Adrian. She told us the she was going to be Melisa’s doctor all through her pregnancy. She checked the board she was holding then looked at us. I looked at her with brows raised wondering what she was thinking. She then asked us whether we really need a paternity test done.I was about to ask her whether it was a problem when she explained that the tests should not be done in early stages of pregnancy since it could harm the baby. She also said that it was not always the case but it was a possibility. I told her to proceed with the test to which she just nodded her head. Most people would think that I did not care about the baby’s safety when making that decision but I really needed t

I drunk myself to sleep that day and woke up later in the evening. I would tell my parents about Melisa’s pregnancy when we were sure it was mine. I looked around my room and saw all the bags I had packed for college disappointedly. I was disappointed in myself for being reckless and not being able to go to college. I would let them stay packed till we went to the doctors which would be soon. I went around the house lazily wondering what I was going to do with my life. I reached the kitchen and opened the fridge. I knew that my nanny had been here sometime in the day when I was asleep.Whenever she was here, she always cooked some food and left it for me in the fridge. She knew that I wouldn’t cook to save a life. She had been cooking for me my whole life and never allowed me in the kitchen when she was cooking. I found some chicken and some lasagna which I reheated and had for super. After I was done eating, I went to the game room which was in the basement
