The priest finally pronounced them husband and wife.

Before anyone could say anything else, Dominic placed his hand on Amara’s arm and turned her gently toward the church crowd. He raised her hand and waved it, making her follow his lead like a doll.

“It’s a joke when killers also have their place in God’s house,” Amara thought as she stared blankly at the sea of faces. “Well… we have a merciful God.”

They were about to turn away when the priest spoke again.

Scorpion gave a slight nod and shifted his eyes to the second priest standing behind the main one. The second priest leaned forward and whispered quickly.

The main priest looked confused for a second, then adjusted the microphone and cleared his throat.

“Ah, yes,” he said with a forced smile. “There will be no kiss, it's like the groom….ohhh…the bride is so shy.”

People whispered quietly, but no one dared say much. Everyone in the room knew who Dominic was.

There was an after-party.

The Romanos and the Leones sat under the same roof, raising glasses, pretending peace had finally come. No one brought up the past. No one mentioned blood. For once, they all acted like family.

Dominic’s mansion was massive, Staff stood lined up as they walked in, heads bowed, not daring to raise their eyes.

He walked ahead. She followed behind.

Scorpion gave her a small glance, the only person who seemed to remember she was human.

When they got inside, Dominic stopped at the stairs. Finally, he looked at her.

“Your room is upstairs. Third door on the left,” he said plainly.

Amara blinked. “Aren’t we..”

“We’re not sharing a room,” he cut in. “Don’t ask stupid questions.”

He turned and walked away before she could say anything else.

Amara turned and walked up the stairs, while Scorpion follow Dominic, Amara was dragging the heavy gown with her. But She suddenly looked around once, just once. The staff in this house didn’t move. Not even a blink. No nod, no eye contact. Nothing. They just stood, still like statues.

She hissed under her breath. “Are they robots or what?”

She didn’t wait for an answer. She climbed up and found the third door on the left. Opened it. Walked in.

Her eyes scanned the room, It was big, Beautiful abd so Quiet.

She blinked twice.

“Wow,” she muttered. “Even if he has a heart of stone, at least the room makes sense, and he chooses to keep me here.”

It was better than the box she stayed in at her uncle’s house. No doubt.

She kicked off the shoes and tossed the veil to the side. She climbed the bed, bounced on it, then laid down.

She stared at the ceiling for a moment, then turned and hugged the pillow.

“If this is going to be hell,” she whispered, “at least it’s a soft one…with comfy bed.”

She closed her eyes, and before she could even count to two, sleep took over. In less than two minutes, she was already snoring

Then, out of nowhere, a hard slap landed on her cheek.

Her eyes opened wide. She looked around, confused and scared. Standing in front of her was Uncle Mario, staring at her with a hard face. Beside him was Bianca, looking angry as usual.

“This is a mission, not a place to relax,” Uncle Mario said in a loud voice.

Before Amara could move, Bianca stepped closer and grabbed her hair, like she was about to pull her off the bed.

Just as Bianca’s hand touched her, Amara woke up suddenly, breathing fast. Her throat was dry, and her heart was beating fast. She looked around the room, confused.

It was just a dream. The room was still the same.

Amara sat up, breathing fast.

“Thank you, God,” she muttered. Her throat was dry. She grabbed the water bottle beside the bed and drank but it’s not enough.

She stepped out of the room. The house felt strange. Big and confusing. She looked around but didn’t know where to go. The guards standing around didn’t talk. They didn’t even blink.

She walked down the stairs and found herself on Dominic’s floor. She was about to go near his room when she heard a sound. It was coming from the side, not the room.

She followed it slowly. When she reached the open balcony, she stopped.

Her eyes widened.

Dominic was sitting down. One woman was behind him, rubbing his body. The other was on her knees, her head moving up and down, sucking Dominic cock, they are all naked..
