Many reason why

I got to the police station. I was pushed into the cell with the other criminals, I fell to the ground trying to stop my heart from breaking.

I can't believe Mrs. Anuradha would stoop so low by making me take the fall for her husband's death, I wouldn't be surprised if Pinky is the murderer.

Avanti comes to see me.

I thought she came to blame me for her father's death, however, my best friend declared that she knew I wouldn't do anything to harm get family.

I got a little calm.

Thankfully Avanti believes me, however, why can't Abhishek do the same..

Avanti promised to talk to her brother, but she left me feeling hopeful, I waited the whole day hoping Abhishek would come to see me, but Pinky visited me.

"Hello, Javelin."

She walks to my cell.

"You! What do you want?"

I got defensive.

Pinky laughed and asked me to save my strength for what was about to happen to me.

She related that Abhishek was on his way to see me, and he had come with his lawyers as well.

Hearing her say that, I got scared.

Why is Abhishek hell-bent on making me pay for a crime I didn't commit?

Pinky leaves me feeling worried, I turned back however a familiar voice called me back.

I turned and met Abhishek standing before me.

He called an officer to open the cell and let me go.

Avanti must have spoken to him.

Abhishek asked me to come with him, we got to a room inside the cell, and I saw a man who introduced himself as Mr. Raj, Abhishek's lawyer.

Raj pulled out a file and asked me to sign, I wasn't clear on what I was signing, however, the idea of going back to jail made me think otherwise.

I picked up the open and signed on it.

He thanked me and excused himself.

Abhishek immediately left the room, I went after him and we got into his car and we drove back home.

We walked into the mansion together, Mr...s Anuradha and Pinky were surprised to see me.

She came ahead and asked her son if he had me bailed.

Abhishek admitted to her that he did.

Pinky gets furious and tries to remind him of what had happened.

He however made it clear that he still remembered and would never forget that I had killed his father.

Avanti walks into the room.

Abhishek's Lawyer walks in and hands the document I had signed to him.

"Do you know what this is, javelin?".

He flipped it to my face.

"No, what is it?

I replied.

Everyone present there wanted to know what he had written on the documents.

Abhishek opens the documents and reads through them.

He clarified that I had signed a statement that proved that if I dared run away from facing my punishment, Abhishek would have the right to send me off the jail again, and this time I wouldn't be bailed out.

Lastly, I had Signed to get married to him and perform the duties of the new daughter-in-law to the family.

However,  failure to do that, I will also be sent to jail.

"Welcome to your hell, javelin?"

Abhishek closed the file and walked away.

Abhishek walked into his room, Avanti grabbed my hands and we left to hers.

Mrs. Anuradha couldn't help but feel angry just by looking at me, and she wasn't the only one.

Pinky also had the same look on her face.

Avanti locked her doors and turned to find me whimpering to myself, she came over and we hugged.

"Javelin, don't worry, everything will be fine,"

She says.

"How can everything be fine,"

I fought.

I got up from the bed and walked close to the window, there I met a man talking with Pinky.

He looked suspicious to me.

Immediately, I ran outside to see what was happening, pinky walked right in and found me approaching the front door.

I rode past her. I looked around hoping I could see the man she was talking with.

However, he wasn't there anymore.

I returned, and Abhishek screamed my name right from his room.

He rushed outside and bumped into me on the way, I asked why he had called, however, he grabbed my hand and we walked back to his bedroom.

He pushed me inside and locked the door.

"Tell me something javelin, how much are you willing to go, into destroying my family,"

He approached me.

"Abhishek, what are you saying, I'm not understanding anything,".

I slammed my back on the wall.

He came close and locked me in a tight spot, and our eyes met.

Abhishek had this look on his face, I can't place it, there was a dash of hate and love in his eyes.

Mrs. Anuradha walks in. She found us a lot closer to each other and implored what was going on.

Abhishek grabbed my hands and turned to her.

"Mom, can you do me a favor?'

He says.

"Yes son, what kind of favor?"

She looks at me.

Avanti and pinky walk in later.

Abhishek asked his mom to get one of the old grounders from the storage room and set it down on the balcony.

Mrs. Anuradha asked him why he needed such, however, he asked her not to bother and to do as instructed.

Immediately she nods and leaves.

I faced Abhishek with my eyes almost tearing up, he turned and asked me not to cry, because this was the beginning of my punishment.

Avanti tried to fight against her brother, however, I begged her not to interfere.

Mrs. Anuradha came back, and she informed us that the grounder was on the balcony waiting.

Abhishek smirked and asked me to lead the way...

There was this feeling of anger and hate boiling inside of me.

I wanted to punch Abhishek so much and face the consequences.

However, the idea of going to jail is something I wouldn't want on my permanent record.

We got to the balcony.

I met old grounders, and next to it was a bag of grains.

Abhishek told me to the seat. I sat without fighting, he dragged the bag of grains closer and said.

"Get this done before noon, or else, you'll never be sorry,".
