The lying game

The Lady directed me to another bakery shop, I asked that the same cake be made for me but they said it would only be made after two hours.

I checked the time and noticed there was some time Left Before the party started.

I ordered them to be quick about it While I waited for the order. I waited alone constantly checking at the time.

It was seven in the evening and I had less than two hours to get that done.

I banged on the front counter and asked if the cake hadn't been finished yet.

The lady who came to answer begged me to exercise more patience so that the cake would be ready.

I got anxious.

There was no time More to waste. I asked for the manager to come out and speak with me.

A man with a suit walks outside and we get to talk together.

He implored me to stay just for a few hours, how many hours does it take to bake a silly cake?

Pinky phones me. She asked if the cake was safe, and I had no choice but to lie to her.

She gets excited on the phone and gets it disconnected.

It would seem like the universe was on my side, the manager walks outside and hands me a cake box.

I thanked him and left after paying for his services. I returned home and since no one saw me coming, I rushed into my bedroom with the cake.

It was time for the party, I wore a dress gotten by Avanti on the day of our graduation.

I came with the cake and met a full house.

Pinky walked out of the crowd and asked me to place the cake on the white glass table placed in the entire room.

I went ahead and set the birthday cake on it.

Pinky takes Abhishek there and asks him to pick a knife. He nods a little but catches me staring from the Crowd.

I got a call from home and so I left to answer, on getting back I heard a man talking on the phone.

He said a familiar name, and that immediately got my attention.

Lakshmi.

I followed the man to the balcony of the mansion, he spoke to someone and promised to get the job done

What job?

Avanti screamed from the living room, I ran back and stumbled on the entire guest having a seizure.

They were all vomiting blood.

I ran ahead and pulled Avanti back. I asked what happened and she said that the cake I had brought was poisoned.

How the hell is that possible?

I turned back and Abhishek was running after me, he pulled me by my hand and asked me what I had put inside the cake.

I promised I did nothing. I turned to Pinky and she immediately removed her eyes.

That was strange.

Mr. Ajay ran in with the ambulance. They had a few of the guests stabilized while the others were sent to the hospital.

Mrs. Anuradha being a vampiress came ahead and slapped me in anger.

Avanti wanted to fight back but I pulled her back and begged her not to do any of the sorts.

Mrs. Anuradha blamed me for trying to tarnish their family's reputation.

I couldn't say anything. I had nothing to defend myself with however I saw the look on Pinky's face and witnessed the grin on it.

She leaves having that look.

Avanti pulled me away and we got to her bedroom.

She asked me what happened. I sat on the bed and explained everything to her.

Avanti falls quiet, she says afterward that they were something wrong, and trust me, I do feel the same way.

Did Pinky just play a fast one on me?

I went ahead to see Pinky, she was just walking out of her bedroom and we bumped into each other on the way.

She grunts and looks at me.

"Tell me what do you want?"

She says.

I pushed her inside her bedroom and locked the door. Pinky got upset and warned me not to do anything stupid.

I saw the look on her face while I made a turn back.

"Seriously! Don't you know what I want?"

I replied.

Pinky fell on her bed and began to laugh. She finds me getting irritated by her behavior.

I turned to the door when I heard Mrs. Anuradha calling Pinky's name.

She walked inside and met me there.

Immediately the look on her face darkened.

She asked me what I wanted. I couldn't help myself, I pointed to Pinky and blamed her for what happened back at the party.

Mrs. Anuradha immediately rebuked me. She said no one was responsible for what happened but me.

I knew there was no way I could reason With her.

I locked my fist and left the room.

Abhishek finds me running out of the mansion, he comes and stops me from getting into the cab.

"Javelin, what happened?"

He asked.

Mrs. Anuradha walked outside with Pinky, I saw them watching us.

I pulled Abhishek away and asked him not to bother.

He sees me looking back and turns around to find his mom watching me with the pinky.

He returned to ask if his mom said anything to me.

I looked at him and lied to his Face, Although Mrs. Anuradha has never liked me before, I can't be the reason Abhishek gets into a fight with his mother.

I got into the taxi alone.

Meanwhile, Abhishek went ahead to confront his mother, he ordered her to tell the truth if anything had happened between them.

Mrs. Anuradha however lied to her son, she said nothing happened but saw me talking bad at Pinky inside her bedroom.

Pinky affirmed and went in weeping.

Abhishek rolled his eyes and walked into the mansion.

I came home after getting some time for myself. Avanti had phoned me severally and rushed out the minute I walked in.

"Javelin, where have you been?" She said.

"Dear, is everything okay?".

He interrogated.

I got up and shook my head.

Mrs. Anuradha walked in, handed a cup of water to her husband, and grinned at me.

I'm sure she's enjoyed seeing me this hurt.

Abhishek comes out of his room and we meet each other with the others, he sends me a warm smile and I grin back, riding to my bedroom with his sister.

Avanti sat me down on the chair, she went back to lock the door and came back  Interrogating me for the truth.

"Tell me, Mom said something right?"

She sat next to me.

I looked at her and shook my head against it.

Avanti however believed otherwise, she placed my hand on top of her head and asked me to tell her the whole truth, if not something bad would happen to her if I thought of lying.
