The mall cops

The news spread like wildfire, the journalists and the police were both presents .

I came to the chief of police, the person in charge of the operation, he saw me coming and immediately rebuked me for getting close.

"Whatever you want to say, hold it because I'm busy,".

He turns his head away and left.

How dare he be so rude to me?. I haven't gotten the chance to at least speak to him about the issue happening, and he acts to read my mind.

Is he some kind of freaking psychic?

The more I stay here and do nothing, Kashi is prone to a lot of dangers, why did I let her go into the mall without me?...

I'll have to save her no matter what it takes.

How do I go in?.

O thought of a way of helping Kashi. Luckily, behind the mall, there was some kind of a dark room. I got inside and it left me straight into the inventory room.

I peeked before leaving, but no one seems to be coming and so I made a run for it. I had no idea where I might be going, just the thought of having my big plans fail and I get myself into deep trouble, making my heart beat twice as fast.

"Hey! Everyone pulls out your jewelry?".

From a huge hall away, I heard one of the goon's shouts.

There were a lot of people held captive, I peeked through the glass window and Kashi was spotted.

Thank God, she's alright.

I turned back hoping to get hold of a huge substance to hit on the goons kept to watch the captives... Rather, I met another of the goons standing before me, a gun pointed to my head.

"Who're you?".

The man grabbed my hand and pushed me into the room.

When Kashi saw me, she froze.

"Why are you here?".

She whispered to me. Since I was forced to sit next to her ...

I saw Kashi trying to pull away, in my head, I looked to check what she was doing.

When I got the chance to ask, Kashi pulled me away, and accidentally, I fell on an old lady.

The goons came and dragged me away.

I may not know what Kashi might be doing, but I hope it doesn't get either of us killed.

I was taken to the head gang leader, he wasn't pleased seeing me, I understood that, by gazing at his countenance.

"Do you think you're smart to confuse?".

He almost made his hand to my face, luckily the voice of the chief of police speaking through the loudspeaker made him stop.

He was willing to give in to their demands, fortunately, everything didn't seem to work as planned. When

the leader of the gang requested from the police a huge amount of money.

3.5 million Laker. ( Indian currency).

I stood there and did not once say a word, that's an amount I don't think the police will be ready to give away.

It happens that my theory came out wrong, the chief of police promised to get the money ready, and in exchange, the hostages are set free.

How's he going to get such an amount, at such a limited time?.

Why are cute boys so stupid. What if after giving out the money and nothing goes as planned.

I may not be worried for myself, Abdul's daughter is in the other room still tied up with the other hostages.

While I stood with the leader of the gang, we overheard some noises coming from the other room

Immediately, the other men ran off to see what happened, leaving me behind.

I used that as leverage to free my hands by scrubbing my hand on the wall to tear the rope. Eventually, I got it to lose, I ran back to the room and without doing anything much, Kashi and the rest of the hostages had the goons captive.

"How did this happen?".

I faced her.. she didn't wish to tell, however, asked me to inform the police to come in by going outside.

I shook my head and left.

The money was already at the crime scene and the chief of police was almost announcing it if he didn't see me walking out of the mall, without a scratch, but looking unkempt.

"You! How?".

He stared at the door to see if anyone else was coming.

I informed him what had happened and brought him alongside another officer inside, they arrested the criminal, and everyone was released and asked to go home

Amid everything happening, I forgot about Mr. Abdul's driver, what if he had gotten the chance to inform his boss of what happened?

We got to the car, mainly to find that he had gone.

Kashi got tensed. She held my hand almost running out of her.

"Hey! You okay?"

I brought her to a chair outside to sit.

Kashi wasn't willing to let in the idea of getting worked up about seeing that the driver was not at the parking lot anymore.

"Javelin, can you please help me again?"

She faced me right after grabbing my hand.

I saw how much her hands were shaking. What's this fear about?

"Sure! I'll help you but tell me, why did you bring me to the mall if you don't wish to shop for anything,".

I asked her instead.

Kashi revoked her hand from touching me. She got up from the chair and walked to the other side, facing a pharmacy. Across the street.

Why are Indians so hesitant to tell the truth, I'm not a fool, it's quite obvious she came to see someone here, I wasn't allowed to go in with her, since she didn't want me to.

Something isn't right.

I was just about to demand the truth. The driver came back with the car. Immediately Kashi got less tense and asked us to leave.

We got home together.

Abdul was in the living room waiting.

He wasn't the only one. The entire family came down and all of them looked so serious.

Kashi begged me not to fight with her dad, she whispered while we got close.

I heard and came forth to answer Mr. Abdul's questions.

"Did you go to the mall, what happened?."

He asked me, looking at his daughter.

I turned back to see what Kashi was doing.  Her head was lowered, she didn't even look at her dad.

I know that Kashi might have asked me not to get into a heated conversation with her dad.

I had no choice, but to accept the truth that I was at fault.
